Changing newborn a second time post feed?

(Formula fed baby) - Our newborn is usually changed and then fed in the middle of the night but recently as they’re drinking more, they tend to then need changing a second time post feed as we can hear them 💩 half way through. We’ve found changing them the second time then stops them going down after the feed. Is there anything we can do to help them go down after? What do others doing in this case? Would you feed more?

First 8 or so weeks are like that unfortunately, poo all the time. Mine poo’d at every nappy change! Now he just poo’s 2-3 times during the day and not at all through the night

Would feeding straight away and then doing one change help?

I breastfeed, but tend to feed from one side, change nappy, then feed from the other side to help her drift back off after the nappy change ☺️

Maybe splitting the bottle half and half either side of one nappy change? 💚

I was going to suggest split the bottle In half. We have the same issue with my little boy so I started splitting and he seems to be able to go sleep after even if it’s just 30ml left

Normal Development or Red Flag?

Hi everyone!

FTM here, please dont judge. My daughter is 9months and 2 weeks and there is some stuff that she does that im starting to think may be a red flag? Did you experience this with your 9m old? Am i just being super paranoid?

Here is what she does-
-super fast crawler
-great at standing and cruising
-responds to name 98% of time
-showing signs of understanding "no"

Red flags?
-makes great eye contact but not a fan of super up close contact (when being held, etc.)
-babbles only sometimes but mostly only vavava, baba sometimes she would throw mama
-recently started doing this repetitive head noding/rocking (back and forth) when standing or sitting..some days she doesnt sometimes she does it few time ina row
-Smiles at us and at people once comfortable but it takes her time, very serious baby
-was a great sleeper but recently started waking up multiple times a night

Bad words (2 year old)

My daughter this morning decided to find cat puke and put it on my face 🙃😂. My reaction was to say "what the f*ck?!". I was still asleep and woke up to something wet on my face.Well now she keeps saying "f*ck". How do I quickly get her to forget that word even exists? 🤦🏻‍♀️

Newborn and sleep

Hey ladies
2 days post partum, I know people say sleep when baby sleeps but did anyone else struggle to relax when baby is sleeping due to concerns around if baby is ok, if they spit up in sleep, etc. etc. I can’t switch off and just looking for some reassurance thank

Parents with late bedtime toddlers

My toddler goes to sleep late, like 9.30/10pm. I’ve tried getting him down earlier but it just doesn’t work. He still gets his 11 hours sleep in day so he is not deprived of sleep. My question is for other moms in the same situation what do your toddlers do in that 7.30pm-10pm stage when you need to wind down and chill out.

Searching for the mum car of dreams🚘

I’m due a car upgrade and wondered if anyone had any recommendations!

I’ll have two isofix bases in the back so needs to either (ideally) have a full middle seat or at least be big enough for someone to sit in between two car seats
& fit a double push chair in the boot

Walking

My LO is 15 months and one week old now. The day she turnt 15 the health visitor contacted me and asked if she’s standing independently and walking yet, when I told her no she only holds on to sofa and walks side ways and crawls, she started saying she is concerned, I told her my girl hates wearing shoes so I can’t even put shoes on her plus she won’t let me hold her hands to encourage her. She then told me that she will need to see the GP and physio therapy. Now I’m wondering is there something wrong with her, is anyone’s baby doing the same things as my LO! The guidance previously was apparently 18 months for boy and girl before they were concerned but now some how it’s 15m for girls and 18m for boys.
