Second Parent Gang

Hey to any second parents in the group!! My wife (bio mom) gave birth to our daughter two months ago and we're absolutely loving being parents. I always thought that bonding with my child when I'm not biologically related would be tough, but so far its been good. She gives me big smiles, naps on my chest and stares right into my soul when I'm feeding her. What are your experiences as the child gets older?

I’m the one who had our baby but my partner bonded with our girl straight away. She’s always been a mamas girl (my partner) she’s 3 now and not long started being all about me but we spend basically all day every day together and I’m pregnant again so she’s sensing my hormones. My partner and our daughter have been the best of friends right from the beginning 😊she wakes up and asks for mama, and gets excited to see her and we go visit her at work. You wouldn’t even know they weren’t biologically connected honestly 🥰

Hi there👋🏽 also a second parent to my 3 month old boy here. I thought the exact same I was so worried bonding but we have such a good bond, I grab his foot and blow raspberries on it which I refer to him as “foot trumpet” which he loves now I soon as grab his foot he starts smiling, he loves when I sing and dance with him to my favourite band too. I’ve also had people on my fiancées side of the family say that they think he looks like me.
