Anyone had their midwife changed without being informed?

I'm 28 weeks and have never met or spoke to my assigned midwife and I noticed on my online notes that I now have a totally different assigned midwife and have not been informed or anything of this change, no updated contact info or anything so I'm now left with no clue who to contact and seemingly no midwife care at all, not that I've had any my whole pregnancy, I've had one midwife appointment which was 10 minutes and with a randomly available midwife

I’ve never seen the same midwife twice . I’ve never had a contact number for a specific midwife and any worries I get I have to call my hospital every time and go in . It’s so draining and frustrating xx

Can I just add last time I went for a check at the hospital , I leaked pink fluid and was having weird green discharge . Sorry if TMI . They discharged me from the hospital and said they believe I wet myself . 3 weeks later I went to my 25 week midwife appointment where they told me that I should’ve been on antibiotics for an infection that they found at that appointment (3 weeks prior ) I feel really let down and like you said absolutely had no care at all x

Why would you have an assigned midwife? Homebirth? Private route? Scheduled induction? With the system we have here only with a homebirth do you get a midwife that you know will be there on the day and that's because you have to arrange it yourself. I've never heard of a service that assigns you one but maybe in others countries they do?

38 weeks!

Looking for some advice, was admitted for reduced movements on Friday but self discharged as everything was okay and movements picked up. Since last night I’ve been having light spotting and then this morning feel like again movements have dropped even after a couple of cold drinks. I do have a doppler scan today so is it worth mentioning something when I get there or call up before I go?

Conceiving after C-section

Hi all!

I’ve seen many conflicting posts about conceiving after a c-section. I ideally do not want a large gap between my children. I’m currently 5 months pp and would like to start ttc in a few months.

People who waited or didn’t wait -what was it like?

If you didn’t wait the recommended time, was it another section or is a VBAC achievable that soon?

Thank you 💗

Clingy baby

Hi I know its quite normal for baby to want to he held all the time, but how long does this last so intensely for? It seems all day I cannot put baby down so have to wear a carrier to get anything done in the house. Do they become slightly more independent as time goes? It's really frustrating starting to have back ache from carrying everywhere

GD

I thought my results by the finger pricking were good, turns out they were great for a non pregnant lady 😂
Anyway, I have GD, and it’s likely they’ll put me on medication since my 11-12hr of fasting is still giving a high reading. I have 1-2 weeks to adjust my diet and go from there even though I’m already eating a balanced diet, and eating what I can with Hyperemesis.

Those who’ve had it, is it more common to be given tablets or injections?
And if it’s injections, is it once a day? 🫣

Gender scan

Has anyone had multiple pregnancies, one without finding the gender and one with? Which did you prefer? Did knowing make it easier to prepare?
I’m struggling to decide if I want to find out. My partner does want to know but I don’t. But now I’m wondering if I’m being mean amd making him miss out on the experience and it would actually be easier if we found out?

Just want some friendly advice.

37 weeks and 7 triage visits for reduced movements in the past 7 days

Hi girls, I’m starting to panic now, I’ve got an elective section booked but been in triage and admitted 1 night last weeks for 7 lots of reduced movements to the point I can’t feel my baby at all.

I have a consultant appointment today and don’t know what to do as it’s driving me crazy
