that sounds so unprofessional especially the comment about hating your body postpartum. there’s better ways to tell a patient information that is beneficial to their overall health than to be tone deaf asf. Pregnant women are already at a very emotional and vulnerable stage as is. This is something that unfortunately is pretty common in women’s health and I’m very sorry you had to experience that. those comments shouldn’t have been made the way they were made.

Dilation at 36-37 weeks of pregnancy

Hi. First-time mum. Today I had a check-up with my midwife – I'm currently 36 weeks and 5 days into my pregnancy. Terrible back and pelvic pain, period cramps. She said I was 2cm dilated. Is that normal/okay? How long after that did you give birth? 🩷😊

Little hospital scare at 30 weeks

Sorry about the long post... FTM at 30 weeks +5 days! I came in to hospital 3 days ago after light bleeding overnight. It seemed like brown discharge mostly but I wasn't sure if I missed anything overnight.
They did CTG, speculum and cervix scan, baby was all good, I had a tiny bit of fresh blood in my cervix but cervix seemed stable and closed.
They kept me in for monitoring and been here for the last 3 days due to the tiniest amounts of fresh blood appearing every 8-10 hours. There's no heavy bleeding, pads are not soaked through at all, but i need to have 24 hours with no fresh blood. They also ordered a growth scan to check on him and placenta. All good, besides the fact he's slightly on the bigger side, so now i've been referred to a sugar test to check pregnancy diabetes. All in all, they have not been able to tell what has caused the bleeding. I had a cervical polyp at 14 weeks but they didn't seem to mention it this time. Going home tomorrow but it's been a little stressful and my brain is finding it difficult to process the 'unknown reason' ... even though he's doing good and all tests have come back good as well.

Anyone experienced anything similar?

Ps - I am beyond grateful for all the midwives and OBs looking after me for the past few days in St Thomas 🥹

Crazy hormones

What is the most ridiculous thing that has made you emotional in your pregnancy? In both my pregnancies I’ve never cried harder then when I see my belly button has gone from an innie to an outie 🤣🤣

Just some advice for 2 under 2 and pregnancy with basically a 1 year old.
