Dummy.

I’d really like my 3 week old to take a dummy during the night. She hates it and gags on it, I’ve got a newborn tommee tippee one. My son took one no problem.
I’m BF and she just sucks for ages and ages and I’m just soooo tired and it’s to the point getting dangerous like I could easily drop her. If your baby is taking a dummy which one have you got? X

I am using the mam dummies x

Some babies just don't take them. My first refused all dummies! I will introduce a dummy to my newborn in the next few weeks but reckon he will refuse too just to annoy me 😂😂 xxx

I second trying different brands. Look at different supermarkets because their own brand dummies will usually mimic the shape of branded dummies. Tesco use Mam shape, Boots uses Tommy tippee shape. Xx

My LO is 2 weeks and won't take one. Just spits it out. I wondered if its just to big for his mouth as even though its a new born one hes quite small?!

Does it drive you crazy wheb someone is talking on the phone using earbuds instead of holding the phone to their ear or on speaker?

It looks like they are talking to themselves at first.

3 week old baby only has hard balls of poo

My 3 week old, only has one poo a day and they are always round ball shape hard poo stools, she is staining for a while for this one stool, is this normal? I'm worried these poo's are hurting her to pass

Outfit and nappy changes

Desperate for some advice, my little boy is turning 1 next week and for the last 3-4 months nappy and outfit changes have been so difficult. He hysterically cries and screams and constantly wants to roll over to get up. I’ve tried different distractions / toys and occasionally they help or sometimes they make the situation worse. It’s becoming hard to change him in public too. I keep thinking he’s going to grow out of it but it’s been a few months now and if anything it’s gotten worse 🥲

How do you reprimand your baby and help them understand “no” ?

FTM, I have an almost 7 month old and I can tell she is starting to test her new skills and testing my limits as well. She will deliberately do something and look at me and wait for a reaction. If she is doing something wrong or unsafe I’ll tell her “no” and to “stop” with a more serious tone of voice and she literally laughs at me😭…EVERY TIME! I don’t know how to get her to understand that when mommy is trying to help you or tell you something that is wrong you cannot just LAUGH at her IN HER FACE😭😂😂😂kinda joking but kinda serious lmao any suggestions?

sleep/crib training 😭😭

okay wtf.. sleep training is so much harder emotionally than i ever thought. for the first 4 months of my sons life he slept in his bassinet strictly with contact naps here and there of course. at some point we switched to cosleeping because it was just easier at the time with me going back to work. please no judgement on that, i never thought i would cosleep and always looked down on it but it kept me sane when i was back working 40+ hours a week. i recently quit my job because the schedule was too inconsistent for me having a 9 month old now so we’re trying to sleep train and get him back in his crib. it is SO hard. i feel so guilty. i am not in any way doing the cry it out method or any form of that. i comfort him when he cries and i am currently sitting next to the crib after an hour and a half of trying to get him to fall asleep and he finally JUST went to sleep. i just feel so bad he was getting so worked up and crying like he has never cried before. i am really hoping it gets easier and it wont be weeks of this because i am on the verge of tears with guilt. 💔💔 my mama heart is breaking. if anyone has any suggestions or tips on sleep training that are NOT cry it out methods please let me know i could use all the tips i can get.

Circumcision Issue

I didn’t circumcise my son, but lately he’s been saying it hurts when I clean him. It’s very tender, and the skin doesn’t pull back at all.

I don’t force it, but even trying gently seems to bother him. Now I’m starting to consider if circumcision might be needed for medical reasons.

Just trying to do what’s best for him. Any parents deal with this before?
