Uk mums!

Daughter is having general anesthetic for a 10 min procedure. Do I need to pack some pajamas, night nappy and my own snacks for it? I forgot to ask the nurse? Also do they allow hair to be up for the procedure, my girl has crazy hair 😂

Basically any recommendations!

My 3 year old had a procedure on Monday. We packed pajamas, change of underwear, and a teddy that she took with her to theater. We bought her fruit for afterwards but the nurse said that they prefer to give carbs as the first meal as fruit can make them nauseas after general anesthetic. We tied her hair in pigtails so it was out of the way but she could comfortably lay her head on the bed.

Also the hospital offered toast and biscuits once she was out of theater.

You can call and ask. Does she have to stay a night in hospital? Otherwise there is no need to pack a pj, just pack one or two extra set of clothes and always the favourite snacks.

C-section Scar

I am almost 6 weeks postpartum and my c-section is starting to hurt again. There no redness or anything, just pain. Is that normal? My OB said it was healing nicely and that he wasn’t concerned at my two week appointment.

Experience of NHS maternity care so far

I know maternity care is very much a hot topic at the minute, im wondering what everyone’s experience been like so far? I have found it quite good, my main complaint being how awful badgernotes has been🥲

C-section/franks breach.

C-section - is it scary? I hate hospitals & needles so absolutely terrified but baby’s franks breach and we’re 37 weeks 😮 anyone else been or is in this position? Baby’s head is up under my ribs and very uncomfortable- they’ve tried ecv once and attempting again tomorrow. If no luck they book me in for 39 weeks. 😮

Constipation post c section

10 days post c section. I have the worst constipation ever since the operation. And constant urge down there to go which is quite painful.

Baby boy names

Only going as anonymous as no one knows what gender we are having yet and few people we know in here 🤭

Any ideas for names for a baby boy? Must be Irish names - we seem to be leaning more towards those as they fit our family the most.
