Dads staying in the hospital

Those that can have dads stay are you planning on having him stay with you in hospital? As I’m having a C section I dont think I could do it alone the first night!

When I had my first baby in 2023 I wasn’t allowed my partner and with my second I was out the same day but I’ll definitely be having my partner stay this time just so I can rest and we can enjoy time as a 3 before we take baby home to our other 2 xxx❤️

With my first I had him at 02:20 and the midwife’s snuck my husband onto the ward told him to not be seen until visiting hours because dads wasn’t supposed to be there 8-8 .
Luckily they’ve changed their policy since and dads can stay 24/7 on the postnatal ward . My mums already agreed to have our son overnight so I’m making the most of having help with the twins 🤣

I asked my midwife this at my last appointment. She advised it has just changed and hospitals don’t allow dads to stay on the ward however if you get a side room they may be nice and allow them to stay

Apparently there has been too many issues so they have stopped it for now🤷🏻‍♀️

Pregnant after 2 missed periods!!!

For context: My last cycle was Feb. 12th. I had a blood test on March 25th it was negative. On Mother’s Day I went to the ER for chest pain. The doctor comes in and says “ congratulations you’re pregnant!”. I didn’t believe her so she did an ultrasound. This is my 3rd and has never happened to me. I struggle with fertility, as I have PCOS now called PEMS.

Has this happened to anyone else? No cycle and ended up pregnant?

Today’s my birthday

My own family hasn’t even attempted to call and I don’t have any friends. My baby daddy is not in my life. It’s just me and my infant daughter today. Kind of sleep deprived but trying not give up on expecting my birthday to be special.

Any well wishes and/or suggestions on how to celebrate as a new mom is welcomed.

Hit me with positive birth stories

I am constantly getting notifications from this app, people saying how awful birth is and it’s causing me to panic!

I would love to get some positivity on here to help me bridge this short gap before I give birth. I am 39+3 days and hoping for as natural birth as possible (with the help of painkillers if needed). I do not want to be induced, if possible.
