Urghh!

My 10 month old was just stirring in his cot and my husband walked in the room after work and went near him staring at him and he woke up completely, he asked if he can take him to bed which at this time i usually do anyway, then I change nappy usually and feed and he falls asleep. But because he saw him he got hyped up and now it’s been awake for an hour and half and just gone to sleep but my husband fell asleep long before snoring away! I’m so freaking mad! It’s nearly 3am

I feel that soo much!! My three month olds dad decided to wake him up last night by moving him around, the his dad fell asleep 15 mins later. But it took me about an hour and a half to get him back to sleep, I was so extremely pissed!!

How do you love yourself postpartum?

I am real struggling feeling me again after having two kids in two years. No drive to do my hair or make, or to dress up. I’ve gained over 60 pounds. Currently in therapy and trying some new meds but can anyone relate? How do you feel beautiful postpartum? (Before and after kids - please don’t judge)

How are you getting so little sleep?

My little one is 3 wks old and since birth I've not had more than 3 hrs sleep a night.
I honestly don't know how I'm functioning
Surely this isn't healthy.

Any advice?

Have you tried a sleep consultant?

19 mo old, never been a great sleeper, but wakes up at 5:30am like clockwork every day 🙃

Nap at 11:30 until 1 (sometimes till 1:30 or 2)

Bedtime at 7pm (sometimes 6:30pm if his nap is an hour or less)

We keep lights off and try to be boring until 6am, get him outside at the park in the sunlight around 7am. Give a carb heavy dinner, he has milk (sometimes with butter) before bed.

The more exciting his day is the more disrupted his sleep gets, especially overnight, the concept of “tiring him out” seems to backfire.

Moving his bedtime later doesn’t seem to affect his wake time at all, and after a while he just seems to be getting less and less sleep and his naps start getting shorter too.

If I could just get him to sleep until 6:30am I would feel so much more human. Any advice or ideas or commiserations are welcome.

Has anyone had success with a sleep consultant?

Hormone drop after stopping breastfeeding

Went cold turkey yesterday after breastfeeding exclusively for 20 months, I am also 9 weeks pregnant. We were feeding approx 20 times a day but have been cutting it down this week and completely stopped yesterday.

My toddler is coping surprisingly well but wow I haven’t stopped crying, when does this end? Mix of emotions, guilt thinking I should have done it for longer, grieving as my “baby” has now gone but excited to get a restful sleep before baby number 2 arrives.
