My frozen embryo transfer is tomorrow... and so is being summoned for jury duty 🤦‍♀️

I've come this far so definitely don't want to go into my procedure feeling stressed over jury duty, especially if my group was called in and I'm aware I am no showing. Seems the most reasonable solution is just to not call in... I've never actually had to go so I don't know what they would do if I was summoned in court but no showed.

What would you do? *jury duty is off the table due to my procedure, so would you bother calling in the morning or ignore it?

You can call the court clerks office line, you’ll definitely get rescheduled & all that jazz if that’s the route you go,

but you can also just like not show up & say you forgot about it because you had the embryo transfer as a higher priority than randomly being selected for jury duty 🤷‍♀️ (if anybody ever asked for any reason lol)

You should have called ahead of time to reschedule to a better date. My husband was summoned, but his time fell within the window of me going into labor or being induced so he had to be available for the delivery, he called, explained the situation and his summons was postponed until several months out.

Perineal massages

Hey everyone

I’m 38+3 weeks and I tried doing perineal massages for a little (one day) and found it so hard to reach and uncomfortable but that was a while ago now.

I’ve been having baths, raspberry leaf tea, collecting colostrum, having dates, walking, resting and bouncing on my exercise ball.

I am worried not having been doing perineal massages and pelvic floor exercises that I’m then missing big bits out.

It would be great to know if people found it helped doing them and if there’s any other tips you’d recommend in the lead up to labour?

Prep for recovery/ recovery kits

Is there anything that you would recommend buying to prepare for the recovery e.g. support band, scar patches?
Anything else you found helpful?

Thank you!
