My grandma does this and actually pretend cries quite loudly. Result: my child doesn’t like her or want to visit anymore. Any time we go over, my child refuses to enter the house and when I make her come in, she just stands in the corridor for about 30 minutes before entering the living room and even then she gives my grandma a wide berth. My nephew doesn’t like her either and doesn’t want to visit. It’s sad, I love my grandma, she pretty much raised me alongside my mum, but she doesn’t listen or take anything on board, so these are the consequences.

Yeah really annoys me! It teaches them their boundaries aren’t respected and they can’t say no without feeling guilt and on the other side it teaches them that they can strop or cry or react like a baby when they are told no!

I tickled someone’s baby 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Ok so in the line to pick up my child from school I was talking to another Mum who was holding her baby, probably about 8-9 months old and she was smiling at me so I just out of habit gave her a little tickle on her tummy without even thinking. Afterwards I remembered that this Mum is very particular about people touching her baby and I’ve heard her telling her son not to touch until he’d washed his hands. I’ve noticed she’s been a bit different with me since and not as friendly. Should I address it with her or just let it go?

family members kissing baby

We’ve just had my partners auntie and uncle visit, we had no idea prior to the visit that his uncle is just getting over PNEUMONIA. He didn’t hold the baby, but he gave him a kiss on the head. They’re still downstairs now, i’ve washed his head with lukewarm water and decontamination lotion. He’s 9 days old. How much of a risk is there? I am beside myself crying, i wish they’d told us i wouldn’t have let them come over. We’re both in really good health and he’s breastfed.

Baby hair clips?

Hey so im a new mum to my beautiful daughter who will be 12 weeks on Wednesday and she has quite a bit of hair. Im wondering what hair clips are safe to use on her hair with out causing damage or being too heavy. I was told headbands can cause their soft skulls to compress so I avoid using them unless it for a quick photo but id love to be able to go out with her in her pretty dresses and have head accessories too. So where are yall getting yours for the girls

Sleeping without my baby as a mom who’s always co slept since the very beginning

Hi! So I’m a teen mom and hadn’t been able to afford a crib or a toddler bed for my son for a long time, I just co slept because it eased my mind and I loved the snuggles. We’ve been growing up together and he’s like my little bestie. My son has also been sleeping through the night since he was about 6 months old and I’ve found he wakes up less with me. I have a co parenting schedule with my baby daddy and I find it really hard to sleep without my 15 month old. Is this just me? Am I holding on too tight? I know i shouldn’t always go to my son for comfort because I don’t want him to think he needs to take care of me at a young age that’s not what this is but am I crazy?
