We used to use a TT prep machine for it

Yes it has to be 70 or above to kill any bacteria in the formula . i usually boil water and have it in a flask and use the water in the flask throughout the day and re fill it once over .

I half fill bottles with boiled water and fridge them, pre measure scoops into pots, put boiled water into the bottle when needed and add formula, did for all my 3 sons and having 4th baby July and I'll do same for her, I use glass mam bottles

I normally just boil the kettle and do the hot shot method

Tommee tippee prep machine

I've had tommee tippee and despite replacing filters, when I tested the waters, they don't filter correctly at all, they're a waste of space and time and none of them are worth the money compared to an old fashioned kettle method

Yes, always. boil kettle - leave for 30 minutes to cool. Or do the hot shot method with the rapid cool flasks etc.

Can use prep machine but so unreliable and a waste of money in my eyes when there’s quicker ways of prepping a bottle x

You have to use boiled water in less than 30 mins from when it was boiled. Formula powder is not sterile and can host some very nasty bacteria.

4am wake up

My baby is 9 weeks old and wakes up by 4am every single day, she will fall asleep on me around 5.30 but won’t settle back in her cot. When will this phase pass and is there anything I can do to push it later? She has her last big feed at 1am so she shouldn’t be hungry.

Co sleeping

How are you getting you bub to co sleep with you? My LO is just struggling to sleep and so am I. I desperately need sleep but she wouldn't sleep on the bed. She just lays awake and then cries. Even contact naps. I have to be standing and walking for her to sleep. If I sit or lay, she wakes up and cries.

Help!!

Drinking and breastfeeding

What’s your experience having a drink or two while breastfeeding? I had almost 3 drinks tonight and can’t decide if I need to pump and dump. I have enough to just dump it out but idk if that’s the right thing? Pls lmk

Trust gone or over reacting?

So my partner already has children and this is my first just turned a month out. LO is a month old and the wind he has been suffering with lately is awful!! Barely settled in the day. I do all night time routine and my partner sleeps has done since day one. So last night my partner said he will stay up with him about 9;30 pm as he is a night owl anyway and will bring LO up when he comes up to let me get a bit of sleep. I said to bring him up as soon as he shouts or drops off, I'm am against co sleeping and we also have two cats who think baby is a warm snuggly friend. I have just woken up at 1:30 to no baby in the room gone downstairs and he is a sleep on sofa with LO set up between pillows next to him!! At his feet I am so cross as it's so unsafe and my partner jumps about in his sleep, let alone perfect spot for the cats to get on top of baby trying to cuddle him!. I brought baby straight upstairs and went back down to wake my partner so he didn't freak out when he woke up and there was no baby. His response I've only been asleep two hours and Im already a parent and have more experience then you. Am I right to be fuming with him? Feel like he has broken my trust with baby
