Co sleeping

How are you getting you bub to co sleep with you? My LO is just struggling to sleep and so am I. I desperately need sleep but she wouldn't sleep on the bed. She just lays awake and then cries. Even contact naps. I have to be standing and walking for her to sleep. If I sit or lay, she wakes up and cries.

Help!!

I breast feed until my lo falls asleep. It is the only way she will fall asleep other than in her car seat when the car is moving. Following along for any other ideas out there. Eventually will need her to fall asleep without nursing.

Is it weird that my husband comments on how big our boys willy is going to be?

Most times when he's changing our boy's nappy he says his willy will be big like his. I'm like wth he's a child why are you even concerned about that?! I find it weird as fuck! Ironically my husband thinks he has a big willy when his is just average. I have seen big Willy's and it certainly ain't his!!!

Does anyone else's toddler have their own way of saying things? This is how he says "I love you"

Our son has made up his own way of saying "I love you" I know a few will say he should learn the proper way, but to me it's the sweetest thing ever ❤️

Mourning pregnancy

I’m really really struggling at the moment. I massively miss my pregnancy. I’m grieving so much over it. I reached out 3 weeks pp and I didn’t get much. I’m now 8 weeks pp and I’m still mourning over it. It’s making me very depressed, I can’t look at pregnant women anymore whether it’s online or in person. I feel like a part of me is missing although he’s right in front of me. I wouldn’t change anything for the world and I love my baby very very much. I don’t know what’s wrong with me or how to change my perspective. I know I’ll relive pregnancy again as I want another baby but that’s 2-3 years from now. I don’t know if this is partly postpartum depression or what all I know is that being pregnant was one of the best months of my life .

My twins don't speak (turning 6 in July) which do you think is the benefit I enjoy most?

This is how I cope. Don't get mad at me.

How do you know when you need help postpartum?

With my first baby I had terrible anxiety, my health visitor was concerned as I wasn't sleeping for weeks (despite baby sleeping well), so she referred me to the GP, who just told me it's what motherhood is like and I'll be fine in a few weeks.

I think that experience has totally knocked my confidence in asking for help. Maybe I was just experiencing regular mum anxiety but I haven't had it this time round with baby number 2 so.. idk.

What's happening this time round is harder to describe. I'm not anxious, or sad really, I just don't feel much at all. Or what I do feel is sort of like dread? Or like I just want everything to stop, everything is too overwhelming and I hate this phase. I hate both kids needing me, I hate nor having time to breathe, and that just going for a shower or making myself food feels like I'm borrowing time, and that I'm always rushed.

My husband is a great support, he does loads and I couldn't ask more of him, but even with him here I still feel like I can't slow my brain down or enjoy anything. I feel guilty when he has one kid and I have the other, especially if he has our toddler because our toddler has really taken this adjustment hard and needs me more than ever. Any time I'm not with him I feel terrible. It's meant I'm struggling to really feel close to my newborn because the only time I spend with her is when I'm trying to feed her and get her back to sleep. Any time she is calm and sleeping I can't just cuddle her, I need to put her down and use that time to be with my toddler. I can't breathe or go eat or do anything for myself. I hate it.

Sleeping/Sleep training

O I am going to say it. I feel awful. Grace, my LG, is 10.5months. She is exhausted, drowsy and had her bedtime feed.

Normally she falls asleep at the bedtime feed and we cuddle together until she's fully settled and then I put her in her cot.

Now she's in her cot crying her eyes out. I have gone in a few times already, settled her and put her back down. I am now sat on floor outside her room silently crying, I feel so guilty.

We had it down a couple of weeks ago, but recently I even try and put her in her cot and it's like world war 3.

I need it to get easier. Some people have said I should go pick her up and bring her out, but I know if I cave in, she'll expect it every time. If she was doing the hungry cry, then I would bring her out, but no, SHE'S EXHAUSTED!!!
