Yep same here. My girls will wake up anytime between 4.30-5, and it can take 15-20 mins to settle them only for them to wake up again 10 mins later 😩

I saw a video a couple of days ago talking about this and apparently, the circadian rhythm naturally tells the body it's time to wake up at 5am. The woman on the video explained how there's way to help them to override this and sort of train them (not sleep training) to wake up later.
I didn't really take a lot of it in because I don't have this problem but it might be worth you looking into how to manage 5am circadian rhythm wake ups x

I would just keep trying. You don’t want the 5am wake up to become habit. I know someone who didn’t keep trying. Now she has a 5 year old and a 3 year old who both still wake up at 5am

Sleeping/Sleep training

O I am going to say it. I feel awful. Grace, my LG, is 10.5months. She is exhausted, drowsy and had her bedtime feed.

Normally she falls asleep at the bedtime feed and we cuddle together until she's fully settled and then I put her in her cot.

Now she's in her cot crying her eyes out. I have gone in a few times already, settled her and put her back down. I am now sat on floor outside her room silently crying, I feel so guilty.

We had it down a couple of weeks ago, but recently I even try and put her in her cot and it's like world war 3.

I need it to get easier. Some people have said I should go pick her up and bring her out, but I know if I cave in, she'll expect it every time. If she was doing the hungry cry, then I would bring her out, but no, SHE'S EXHAUSTED!!!

4am wake up

My baby is 9 weeks old and wakes up by 4am every single day, she will fall asleep on me around 5.30 but won’t settle back in her cot. When will this phase pass and is there anything I can do to push it later? She has her last big feed at 1am so she shouldn’t be hungry.

Fear has to leave NOW

Can give you a testimony?

So anxiety has always had me in a choke hold.
It first started when I was a toddler and my mom would leave me and my siblings home alone. The gag is -

when my mom left home. So would my siblings sister (14) and brother(12)-Leaving (me) a 3 and 4 year old in the house. And sometimes Locked in the bedroom, so I wouldn’t walk out the door .

And this is the very first moment being scared became an everyday , normalized feeling.

As a teen I began to try and fight my anxiety by watching scary movies and crime murder mystery shows … mainly because I wanted to get desensitized.

This only mad things worst for me. Bc I became paranoid about death. And even more anxious about the world around me.

In my twenties the anxiety carried on an lead to my self sabotaging and disstuctive way of living

But now that ima mom and i wanna finally enjoy life. Fear and anxiety still haunts my life.

But now… I mean TODAY .

I declare fear has to leave.

It cannot govern my path.

Can you relate or do you have something you would to share?

Co sleeping

How are you getting you bub to co sleep with you? My LO is just struggling to sleep and so am I. I desperately need sleep but she wouldn't sleep on the bed. She just lays awake and then cries. Even contact naps. I have to be standing and walking for her to sleep. If I sit or lay, she wakes up and cries.

Help!!

My little one is 7 weeks old now and I’m just wondering if others are still setting alarms for wake ups and feeds or just following their LOs lead? My LO has gained weight well just feel nervous to let him sleep and not have a feeding schedule of any sort?

Mom loop??

I feel like I'm on a loop of feed, burp, change, play, nap, repeat cycle. When baby (4 almost 5 months old) naps I try to clean, organize, fold clothes, feed myself, etc. Sometimes I even try to also nap, almost never happens though. I will admit there's time I just sit and simply scroll on my phone, being unproductive. And by the time I get up to go do something, baby wakes up. Am I just not managing my time well? Am I simply lazy? How do I break this seemingly never ending cycle? 😭
