What age?

In response to a post in here about nap schedules and making plans, what age did your LO have a clear nap schedule, so much so you could plan around it? (Not including for people who sleep trained becaise im curious to see when it happens consistent naturally)

A while now, earlier than 7m. I never really plan my day around naps, she sleeps anywhere so we nap on the go if need be. Her weekend naps are usually away from home.

I started to get them on a nap schedule around 10-12 weeks. Key word started lol. I would say by 4 months it was consistent. I sleep trained, but didn’t do so until 7 months.

Since about 5months old he’s slept the same times throughout the day, then around 13months dropped to one nap, but usually always around the same time. But like J above. I never planned around it, he’ll sleep in his stroller, the car, where he falls tbh 😅 but always around the same time frames

From about 6 months she had a very clear schedule. Yes we had to modify as her naps changed but it became easier with 3 naps and then easier with 2 naps etc.

I tickled someone’s baby 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Ok so in the line to pick up my child from school I was talking to another Mum who was holding her baby, probably about 8-9 months old and she was smiling at me so I just out of habit gave her a little tickle on her tummy without even thinking. Afterwards I remembered that this Mum is very particular about people touching her baby and I’ve heard her telling her son not to touch until he’d washed his hands. I’ve noticed she’s been a bit different with me since and not as friendly. Should I address it with her or just let it go?

Chickenpox vaccine

Hi my daughter missed the first chicken pox vaccine and she just had the regular MMR. Her second dose of MMR had the chicken pox dose included.

To get her the full dosages of the chicken pox they’ve suggest a third MMR so she can get her second dose of the chicken pox.

However I’m not 100% sure on this plan. I’m don’t think I want her to have three MMR’s. Can I just pay privately for her second dose of just the chicken pox they’ve on its own?

Hope this makes sense

Does this annoy you?

It really irritates me when my friends will cancel plans or delay plans because the baby is having a nap! I’m a second time mum, but I didn’t even cancel plans or delay when my first hadn’t napped/was napping. Same with my son now, if I’m going out I’ll either plan naps around it or he will go in the car and can sleep there.

family members kissing baby

We’ve just had my partners auntie and uncle visit, we had no idea prior to the visit that his uncle is just getting over PNEUMONIA. He didn’t hold the baby, but he gave him a kiss on the head. They’re still downstairs now, i’ve washed his head with lukewarm water and decontamination lotion. He’s 9 days old. How much of a risk is there? I am beside myself crying, i wish they’d told us i wouldn’t have let them come over. We’re both in really good health and he’s breastfed.

Boundaries/rules for when baby comes

What is everyone going to be telling people not to do when baby comes? Like
1.) don’t kiss baby
2.) if baby cries give back

I’m completely lost on what I should do for my boundaries/ list of things not to do. like I know off the top of my head but I want to write them down so hubby knows them too. (He also has given me full control over it because he hasn’t been around a lot of babies less than a year old)
