I have been working with my company since September 2025 and I’m worried I’m not going to be eligible for maternity pay. What do I do if I’m not. My partner works but it’s not enough to support us. I get UC and child benefit.

If you can't get Statutory Maternity pay then you can apply for Maternity Allowance instead. I think it comes up to around £900 a month for 9 months. You will need to apply for this through the government website.

How many weeks along are you? I believe the rules are 26 weeks working at the company by the time you’re 15 weeks away from due date. If you don’t qualify it sounds like you’ll still be eligible for maternity allowance from the government (you can double check here https://www.gov.uk/pay-leave-for-parents)
