Second C Section.

I have a planned c section due to health reasons. I was wondering if I went into labor before then, would it still be a c section and just considered an emergency or….

Has anyone went into labor before the scheduled c section? Bonus points if this is your second.

TIA 🤍 I’m 37 weeks if that helps.

It would still be an elective c-section! Technically its only an emergency if you or the baby are in imminent danger

I would talk with your OB about this cause different hospitals have different protocols when it comes to this

Yeah it’s just called a cat 3 “emergency” on paper as you’ve gone into labour.

I went into labour a week before my elective and just had my section on the day. Called up, came in, prepped for theatre and had a lovely calm experience.

I have cardiac issues, I was born with a huge hole inside the middle of my heart that had water and blood retention surrounding the valves of my heart which caused me to have open heart surgery at six months. At 23 I got pregnant twice had a vaginal the first time me and my team risked it-even tho I had to sign papers first. I got pregnant the second time still had to sign papers due to me being a high risk patient-me and my youngest child’s health was at risk he was due in Jan I had an emergency c section in December of 24’ of course any mother giving birth either way is risky but I was extremely high risk due to me being under weight as well as my open heart surgery so I’m assuming from my own personal experience they only call it emergency when the health of you or your little one is in severe life threatening situations

Where are you?

In the UK this is considered an emergency c section and they grade that depending on how urgent/life threatening the circumstances are.

I had a c section booked as breech. Went into labour early, started as a category 3 but was progressing quickly so was quickly upgraded to a category 2.

Pregnancy 12 months post C-section

Does anyone have any experience getting pregnant 12 months after a c-section? My deliveries will be 20 months apart, but I am still nervous.

Different scar placements

Looking at photos people have shared of their c-section scars, I can see lots of you have low scars that are just under the public hair line. Mine is way higher than that.

Does anyone know why they can be at different levels and if it means anything for future pregnancies and c-sections?

Hospital bag!?

Help a girl out. I’m starting to gather bits for my hospital bag. I’ve found a few check lists online but no one really says how many of each you need. Does anyone have a checklist with amounts on?
Like the one big thing are we taking the little ready to use milk and if so how many?
Also is there anything that you are glad you took or wish you had?
Anything that was a waste of time and didn’t make it out the bag?

Due date change at anatomy scan??

Has had their due date updated when they went for their anatomy scan? I had a level 2 anatomy scan this morning and they moved my due date up a whole week!! He's looking perfect so I am not worried, just never heard of someone having their due date updated mid pregnancy!

If your partner is useless, was he like this pre baby, or only since the baby arrived?

I always see women posting about how useless their men are, wether that’s around the house with tidyness, doing things to make them feel loved and supported, or how they are with the kids, and I always think… was they like this pre baby? Or did they suddenly become useless after the child arrived?
