Ladies who work in HR please,
I’m currently doing KIT days at work and you’re allowed up to 10. With my oldest child HR just asked what days I came in and I was paid for the full day even if was only in for a few hours.
This time they’re asking for how many HOURS a day I work.
So how does that work? Can I do 2 half days to make one full day of my 10 allowed days?
My working week is 7.5 every day apart from Fridays it’s only 7 hours. Quite a few of my KIT days are on Fridays, does that affect anything??
Clarification if you know please! I know I could ask HR but sometimes that’s more confusing in the end on their part

I don’t work in HR but when I did KIT days I only got paid for the hours I worked. I usually did 12 hour shifts prior to maternity leave but I did 7.5 hour days as KIT days.

Even if you work for few hours a day u will be paid for full day

I only worked 1-2 hours a day on KIT day

It’s only 10 days regardless of if they’re 1 hour or 10 hours long. Your company have to pay you for the hours you work but aren’t obligated to pay you a full day for a few hours work (some companies do to be nice)

You get 10 days, whether you do 1 hour or 8 hours it doesn’t matter it’s still classed as a day however they only have to pay you for the hours you’ve worked. Some places are nice and give you the full days pay but most of the time now you’re paid for only what you worked
