Development

Hi Ladies,

Just wondering what your little on can do? In terms of like development as I have no clue where my little one is up to, idk if she’s on track, ahead, behind 🤣🤣 nursery always say she’s smart and independent but her assessments say on track or developing 🤷‍♀️

PSA this is not to shame or had any ill intentions, she is my first child and I just want to make sure I’m doing things right and she’s not behind or missing skills at all 🥰

she’s fully mobile like as well as me, up and down stairs completely alone, showers herself (minus hair, does need some help), brushes teeth, brushes hair.

She undresses herself and dresses herself.

can count to 10 and keeps saying 2,4,6,8 ? no clue where that’s from

she doesn’t nap and hasn’t in a while and still isn’t a great sleeper at night really (does about 8-11:30 then 12-6 ish)

knows and says all colours and nearly can tell you what all colours are gets confused with orange yellow.

can draw a face

knows all body parts and the difference between girls and boys

knows our real names and grandparents real names

can recite songs and actions

knows quite a bit of sign but my little sister is deaf so it’s like a second language to her

speaks in mostly full sentences

fully potty trained

knows all animals and sounds

takes deep breathes when she’s sad, tantrum…

she’ll say no or stop it or don’t do that (aswell as the occasional shove or hit 😅) when something happens she doesn’t like or want

she can kick, throw and catch a ball.

does a forward roll, skip…

colours in pictures with a variety of colours

can’t really think of anything else from the top of my head but is she along the right lines?

Breastfeeding constantly

Hello mums 👋 I'm a first time Mummy to my gorgeous boy Albie who is now 2 1/2 weeks old. I've been combination feeding so my husband can bottle feed when I get some sleep for the first part of the night however I have found that when breast feeding I am feeding constantly. He will fall asleep on the breast and despite all the usual attempts, he won't wake up. When I try and put him down or get my husband to take over, he will start screaming and rooting again. I'm just wondering if anyone else has experience of this and if it's normal?

Thanks in advance

Snoozeshade

I was wondering if anyone has used a snoozeshade for the pram. It’s meant to not create heat inside but want a better alternative than an umbrella.

Bread Suggestions

Hi, need some suggestions for a good first bread to use for BLW. UK based. I know you're supposed to be careful about salt content and also we usually get a granary which is probably not ideal!

Breastfeeding

Tried to get little one to latch in hospital and were struggling so switched to bottle as I wasn't massively set on breastfeeding anyway. Shes now a week old and Im itching to try again with breastfeeding but worried it could ruin her weight gain and set us back. She does eat well with the bottle, only 1oz down from birthweight 5 days after birth. Expecting her to be back at birthweight at least at our next appointment on Tuesday. Anybody tried again with breastfeeding? Obviously if it didnt work, we still have bottles and plenty of formula. Pic of our little angel just cause 🥰

Bedtime

Do you have a set bedtime? I try and start the routine of bath, story, feed and bed from about 9pm but don't know if this is too late. Wakes anytime between 3. 30-5 for a feed and then again at 6 and then wake for the day at 8.30. Only has 2-4 naps during the day - either following feed or when out for a walk
