Where do we stand with party bags? 😫
My daughters second birthday is October and we don’t really know LOADS of kids, literally maybe a handful and majority are family, and we’re having a party for her like we did for her first but unsure wether to do party bags.
My nieces second birthday was over the weekend and they done party bags but it was all small things that I actually had to confiscate as choking hazards 😫
Do we do them this young? My other niece last year complained there was no party bags 🤣🤣

I’ve always got one at parties but tbh most of it gets thrown out as it’s Temu junk.
Little bag, slice of cake, bubbles, tattoos and stickers. Winner everytime. Everything gets used fast and no plastic crap like yo-yos or slime.

We do little jars of homemade play dough (flour oil salt food colouring), a packet of seeds (labelled grow something for *name*), maybe some bubbles, maybe a mini colouring pad (you can make your own colouring pages pretty easy online)

I’ve seen people do like ‘DIY’ versions that are just lots of books from a charity shop, crayons, bubbles, so it becomes an activity on the day too x

We’ve kept it simple with party bags. A mini story book, a colouring book, and cake. I think that’s all it really needs to be. I hate being given party bags full of plastic tat 😂 I think there is a bit of an issue in that most parents hate the plastic tat element, but kids are expectant of a party bag so it seems mean to not do them at all.
