Car seat

Whenever my baby falls asleep in the car, which is a lot!
When I accelerate her head flops forward. Even if I pull off super slow!
I worry about her neck so much but I don’t know what I can do/if she needs a new car seat? She’s 8 months old but a chunk and quite long. Still within the car seat manufacturers sizing.
Has anyone else had this problem ?

Yes, we have the same with our 7 month. Luckily I sit in the back so I keep and eye. But no matter the adjustments I do it still seems to happen if he's in a deep sleep.

If you have Facebook, join bump to booster and ask for a fit check. They're very supportive and knowledgeable in there and.may be able to help

We have an Avionaut Stardust and can slide it into a more reclined position for sleep. It seems to help with the issue you mentioned, as we haven’t had it since changing from the one with our Nuna travel system.

It means it's not reclined enough, please ensure if it has the facility of reclining the car seat according to the height/age/weight. Usually it comes with the user manual xx

If she's 1kg off the limit at 8 months that puts her above the 99.6th centile line. Is she also really tall? They have a height limit too.

Just wondering if she's outgrown the seat by length and no longer getting a good fit

It means they’re not sat in the seat properly. Their bum should be pulled right down to the buckle, so they’ll be more reclined and then no head flopping.

Too much milk?

My 3.5 month old daughter is draining an 8oz bottle (she's exclusively formula fed), but is sleeping a good 10 hours a night so missing a feed. Is this excessive? What are your similar aged babies feeding?
She is following her growth chart for weight perfectly, but the health visitor said we should have her on 6oz and wake her at night. She was on 7oz but crying because she was hungry so we went to 8oz a few days ago but she is still crying once the milk is finished.
Is it a problem to go up to 9oz if she's showing signs she wants more? I feel awful thinking she is still hungry

3mo teething advice

I know I’ve been blessed having my LO sleep through the night already. Within the last week he’s been waking up at least twice in the middle of the night to feed, which hasn’t been normal for awhile now..definitely getting enough milk throughout the day. I am a strict pumper so I am able to track feeding precisely. Through the day he’s also been much more fussy, I’m not sure if he’s beginning his teething journey or if it’s a growth spurt? He’s been drooling a lot, and constantly has a hand in mouth. I’m just tired and want to make sure he’s comfortable and back to his happy self.
Anything you did in the beginning stages of teething to make both you and baby more at ease?

Baby cot

My boy is 10 weeks and already filling his snuzpod and moses basket, won't be in them for long. Just wondering what cots people are getting next? He will be in the bedroom with us still of course but this leaves me with little room for a cot so not sure which ones are best? Xx

Co sleeping help

I really didn't want to go down this route as there is are so many negatives to it and the NHS don't advise but I feel a very sleep deprived mumma is almost just as unsafe. I have done the research into co sleeping, ensuring my duvet is on me waist down, c curl position etc. But I have a tempur mattress. It is memory foam type that moulds to your body and when you first sleep in one, takes months of getting used to albeit incredibly comfy. Obviously, babies should always be sleeping in a firm mattress. My question is, how do I go about co sleeping with a type of mattress that is completely advised against having your newborn sleep on? Have you just cracked on and co slept despite your mattress being completely incorrect for a baby? I'm worried about bones/spine developing incorrectly if we do this.

My baby is 5 weeks old and I have tried everything - as most of you with your little ones, she won't sleep anywhere but on someone. She needs the contact all the time. Have tried next2me, bassinet, baby box, swaddles. Even through the day she will cry as soon as I pop her down while I quickly go to pee, or hang up washing etc. So co sleeping at night is my last resort i think unless anyone has any other suggestions?
Help a v tired mumma out please 😪❤️ thanks girls x
