Too much milk?

My 3.5 month old daughter is draining an 8oz bottle (she's exclusively formula fed), but is sleeping a good 10 hours a night so missing a feed. Is this excessive? What are your similar aged babies feeding?
She is following her growth chart for weight perfectly, but the health visitor said we should have her on 6oz and wake her at night. She was on 7oz but crying because she was hungry so we went to 8oz a few days ago but she is still crying once the milk is finished.
Is it a problem to go up to 9oz if she's showing signs she wants more? I feel awful thinking she is still hungry

The health visitor is always baffling me. If your baby sleeps through the night and eats well during the day consider yourself lucky and don’t wake them up. At this age my GP told me that as long as they have their intake in 24 hours they can sleep a long stretch mine washing about 8 hours I think

Ignore the health visitor that just seems ridiculous! My LO was always a super hungry baby (she was formula fed too) and we were on 8oz bottles by then too! How often is she having a bottle through the day? When my LO started sleeping through we had to go for a bottle every 2-3 hours instead of 3-4 because that's just what she wanted. We also when she was about 4.5 months had to start giving her a couple of spoonfuls of (quite runny) baby rice in the morning as she would wake up starving and we found she just wanted a ton of milk in the morning, maybe to catch up 🤷‍♀️ That really helped us but was also a no from the health visitor. You kind of have to follow you gut with this one, if you think she's hungry feed her. For some babies 8oz would be too much but for others it's a perfect amount 🤷‍♀️ My LO is now 16 months and still has 9oz of cows milk in the morning and at bedtime and 5oz at nap time although we are trying to cut that out 😅 3 meals a day and two snacks.

My advice is make the most of it 😂 my baby was doing this at 3 months old, he would sleep in his next to me 9/10 hours, 7pm-4/5am and boy I miss those days 🤣 he now wakes typically at 12am and 4am and we've ended up cosleeping (but thats due to eczema so probably just built a habit and unrelated to the feeding)

Follow your baby, sounds like she’s just taking her calories during the day to allow for sleep x

I would follow her lead! My baby at the same age was only having about 24oz a day and following her growth curve! But at 4.5 months my son was downing 7oz-8oz 5 times a day! Every baby is different! The fact your baby is following their growth curve shows you’re doing a brilliant job!

Nobody warned me about this part of having two kids 😭

Not the no sleep. not the chaos. the part where your toddler keeps hurting the baby and you don't know what to say in that exact moment. I have tried everything. I sat with it alone for months. what finally changed it was nothing I had read anywhere 😭 anyone else been through this?

Baby understanding

Hey guys I don’t know if this is a coincidence but my LO has turned 1 this week. When I asked her to touch her head she did it. Then I asked 5 more times randomly and she did it again.

My question is when do babies start understanding things? Are your LO saying any words intentionally yet?

Night light

Just wondering what other mums do at night with their little one 😊

I usually leave a dim light on while my baby sleeps, but I’m thinking of trying the room completely dark tonight until she wakes for a feed. Does anyone else do that with their baby? How did your little one sleep?

Car seat

Whenever my baby falls asleep in the car, which is a lot!
When I accelerate her head flops forward. Even if I pull off super slow!
I worry about her neck so much but I don’t know what I can do/if she needs a new car seat? She’s 8 months old but a chunk and quite long. Still within the car seat manufacturers sizing.
Has anyone else had this problem ?

Husband snoring with newborn in the room

My baby is 5 weeks old. My husband has been snoring recently, not loud and not all the time, but just randomly he'll start snoring and it's just loud enough to startle baby and fully wakes her sometimes. I keep gently rolling him back over to his side but even on his side he'll snore sometimes. It also keeps me awake as I'm a light sleeper and have major anxiety atm so struggling to sleep as it is..
Is there anything he can do to help the snoring?
There isn't anywhere else for him to sleep, we don't have a spare room and the couch isn't comfortable for sleeping either
