I really want to but it feels like a waste of money at £90 when I’d find out at the anomaly scan anyway! I’d only really get to find out about a month in advance anyway

The anomoly scan isn’t a gender scan so they don’t actually have to tell you at all.
Most will but they won’t write it down they’ll literally just say ‘looks like a girl/ boy’. If baby is in an awkward position they won’t go out of their way to look as gender isn’t a required check.
The £90 has always been worth it to me to find out a bit nicer x

£90 is a cheap private scan I paid more than that for mine previously

I think it depends on areas as well. For example I live in Coventry and most private scans are about £75 depending on what your after. But in Birmingham i found some for £49, for the exact same thing. Its then weighing up other things like opening times, fuel, time to travel. Are those things worth the saving or do I pay more for convenience and ease to stay local.

I paid £70 for a private scan at 8 weeks but it gave me peace of mind and settled nerves as first time baby x

My gender scan at 16 weeks is £59, and the dating scan before that was £75. With a very good company, Sheffield based

It’s really up to you, it doesn’t sound like you’re that convinced of the benefits personally so maybe save your £90 and wait?

In case it helps, I've seen places on Groupon offering scans for £39
