One year old with diarrhoea

Anyone know what could help with diarrhoea? It’s definitely diarrhoea bc the poor boy woke up through the night upset, so I popped him next to me to sleep and I literally heard him poop, I checked and obviously changed him. Last night I didn’t realise at it wasn’t a lot or smelly and he got really sore on his bottom and balls 😞

We have started fresh milk but I boil it for him, idk my mum says that’s better? But he still has formula here and there, I’m not sure what to do pls help a mama out. Thank you in advance 💕

the brat diet, bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast but it’s basically any bland food to just help settle an upset stomach and help with diarrhea, also for his diaper rash any diaper cream with 40% zinc oxide should help heal and prevent it, give him lots of fluids to keep him hydrated since he’s having diarrhea, and if you think the whole milk is the issue try giving him a lactose free one, i give my daughter the fair life whole milk and it’s lactose free, hope this can help but don’t forget to consult with your pediatrician first, i hope he feels better soon 🩷🎀

Is he teething?

If he's recently started cows milk it's likely related. There's no need to boil it though, it's already pasteurised. Does he have any other dairy in his diet? Cheese or yoghurt?

I second the BRAT diet !! ✨💕
B ananas
R ice
A pplesauce
T oast
If you can get him to eat a few of these four things or even one of these four things, do it !! Alternate in the three meals of the day. I also second pushing fluids !! .. I personally will grab Pedialyte in the baby aisle and dilute it with water. The electrolytes will help baby and help make pushing fluids enjoyable for him 💯💖

If diarrhea lasts longer than two days, I’ll incorporate purdue chicken nuggets so baby body has some protein.

You should bring baby to the pediatrician just for a check up to make sure nothing is seriously wrong. Check baby’s temperature and see if he has a fever and just keep checking during this “diarrhea phase”.

The baby cream, “Boudreaux’s Butt Paste Max Strength” has always worked best for me:) .. it’s in a red bottle with a baby on the front ✨💓🌹

Also, don’t go back and forth between formula and fresh milk. You must pick one so you’re not going back and forth,

BRAT diet and kids dyralite to get fluid and salts back into him x

Start him with smaller amounts of milk and still give his formula. You want to introduce the other milk gradually

Too much milk?

My 3.5 month old daughter is draining an 8oz bottle (she's exclusively formula fed), but is sleeping a good 10 hours a night so missing a feed. Is this excessive? What are your similar aged babies feeding?
She is following her growth chart for weight perfectly, but the health visitor said we should have her on 6oz and wake her at night. She was on 7oz but crying because she was hungry so we went to 8oz a few days ago but she is still crying once the milk is finished.
Is it a problem to go up to 9oz if she's showing signs she wants more? I feel awful thinking she is still hungry

Car seat help 🤯

What car seat is everyone using?
My 6mo no longer fits in her carrier car seat. I have bought a cosatto one, when the wedge is in it she has managed to get out of it twice but when I take the wedge out and she falls asleep her head flops almost to her feet 🙈
Is there a way to stop her head flopping forward? Or is there a better car seat?

Sleep advice pleaaase

My 4mo has recently started rolling from back to front and it’s literally all he wants to constantly do. He can’t however roll front to back yet (or hasn’t shown us that he can). Due to this we have changed him from his love to dream swaddle to a sleeveless sack for sleep as advised. He is still in the next to me in our room.

He is adamant that he now wishes to sleep on his side or front, and refuses to lay on his back in the next to me. He uses a dummy, and we’re finding that he’s waking up 5/6 times a night due to his dummy falling out with the rolling over and he isn’t at the stage where he can put it back in himself due to his age. When rolling onto his front he is also moaning that he stuck - when he’s on his front he isn’t head down and cosy, he’s head up like tummy time! But despite the crying and moaning, if I try flip him back over gently he cries more. I’m absolutely shattered - he previously would sleep so much better.

He has a rolling side preference, so I’ve positioned him slightly towards that side in the next to me meaning he would roll onto his side but not fully onto his front due to space, and he still wakes and moans / cries.
His dummy won’t stay in and I’m constantly replacing it - I’ve tried to not replace and he just cries more and more, fully waking himself up. I’m just at a loss!!! Any advice would be amazing. Thank you

Co sleeping help

I really didn't want to go down this route as there is are so many negatives to it and the NHS don't advise but I feel a very sleep deprived mumma is almost just as unsafe. I have done the research into co sleeping, ensuring my duvet is on me waist down, c curl position etc. But I have a tempur mattress. It is memory foam type that moulds to your body and when you first sleep in one, takes months of getting used to albeit incredibly comfy. Obviously, babies should always be sleeping in a firm mattress. My question is, how do I go about co sleeping with a type of mattress that is completely advised against having your newborn sleep on? Have you just cracked on and co slept despite your mattress being completely incorrect for a baby? I'm worried about bones/spine developing incorrectly if we do this.

My baby is 5 weeks old and I have tried everything - as most of you with your little ones, she won't sleep anywhere but on someone. She needs the contact all the time. Have tried next2me, bassinet, baby box, swaddles. Even through the day she will cry as soon as I pop her down while I quickly go to pee, or hang up washing etc. So co sleeping at night is my last resort i think unless anyone has any other suggestions?
Help a v tired mumma out please 😪❤️ thanks girls x

Baby cot

My boy is 10 weeks and already filling his snuzpod and moses basket, won't be in them for long. Just wondering what cots people are getting next? He will be in the bedroom with us still of course but this leaves me with little room for a cot so not sure which ones are best? Xx
