My 4mo has recently started rolling from back to front and it’s literally all he wants to constantly do. He can’t however roll front to back yet (or hasn’t shown us that he can). Due to this we have changed him from his love to dream swaddle to a sleeveless sack for sleep as advised. He is still in the next to me in our room.
He is adamant that he now wishes to sleep on his side or front, and refuses to lay on his back in the next to me. He uses a dummy, and we’re finding that he’s waking up 5/6 times a night due to his dummy falling out with the rolling over and he isn’t at the stage where he can put it back in himself due to his age. When rolling onto his front he is also moaning that he stuck - when he’s on his front he isn’t head down and cosy, he’s head up like tummy time! But despite the crying and moaning, if I try flip him back over gently he cries more. I’m absolutely shattered - he previously would sleep so much better.
He has a rolling side preference, so I’ve positioned him slightly towards that side in the next to me meaning he would roll onto his side but not fully onto his front due to space, and he still wakes and moans / cries.
His dummy won’t stay in and I’m constantly replacing it - I’ve tried to not replace and he just cries more and more, fully waking himself up. I’m just at a loss!!! Any advice would be amazing. Thank you

Once they can roll snd have good neck strength its okay to let them aleep how the want as long as they have there arms free to move which ur already doing. Altho I feel like its also a bit of sleep regression due to him learning a new skill

Try give up the dummy
