I received our letter for the 10-12month check with the health visitors. I know this is optional but is anyone else thinking of declining? I have really bad experiences with health visitors and I have no development concerns and I’m seeing a dietician for his allergy so don’t see the need to be stressed going to the health visitor?
I guess just wanted to see if anyone else is skipping it!

Do you know what the milestones are in paperwork? My so has delays and keen yo address earlier if daughter the same

Honestly I’d still go, I know HV advice can be dated and many of them are unhelpful and rude but someone I know was referred to social services for not wanting to accept HV appointments so for the sake of having to deal with that I’m going to all mine. It’s just one appointment at 1 then one at 2 and nothing else until they start school x

It’s rich that they’d report somebody to social services for it, as I haven’t been contacted by our local HV team once since my son was born 4.5 years ago! Luckily he lives in a very safe and loving environment but that’s not the case for all children unfortunately. I have however been contacted for August baby and will be attending, but ours is via telephone🥴
