Fussy clingy 1 year old after 4pm

Is there anything I can do about this? My son gets very fussy and clingy after 4 pm and all he wanted was being held otherwise he whines non stop. He does that at the nursery too (much worse when he got home 😵‍💫).

He does 2 naps a day usually 2-3 hours in total:
Wake up: 7:00-7:30
Nap1: 10:00-11:30
Nap2: 14:00-15:30
Dinner: 17:45
Bath time: 18:30
Bedtime: 19:30

He generally sleeps through the night. I normally feed him a small snack when he woke up from his second nap but it doesn’t help. Sometime giving him a shower before dinner helps by he’s a messy eater and I don’t want to shower him again…

He has been like this since 9 month old. I am struggling because he is getting heavier (10kg+) and he does not like sitting in a carrier for long (also hurts my back). I can’t cook or eat dinner in peace without someone holding him. 🤦‍♀️

Is he teething? Maybe he is just looking for comfort and that’s the time when it’s the worse for him or he notices it the most…

Have you thought about cutting down to one nap? My boy will wake up around 7:30 then he’ll have first nap around 11:30/12 then he will sleep for roughly 2.5/3 hours sometimes. We did then when he turned one and he’s now 17 months in the same routine. Then he will go to bed at 7/7:30. In my experience it helped with the being fussy and clingy towards bedtime as he’s had one solid nap midday x

I would not cut the nap, it does not sound like too much sleep too me. It sounds that he is overstimulated maybe?
Since when is he in daycare? When is the snack after nap 2?

9 month old sleep habit

Hi everyone, I wondered if anyone could help my almost 9 month old has suddenly decided she doesn’t want to sleep in her cot only on me all night. My back is killing me as a result and I don’t know how to get her out of this habit and back into her cot which she used to be fine with. Everytime I put her down she wakes up☹️

Feeling guilty

Anyone else who has a toddler and a newborn feeling really guilty about bringing the new baby in? My little boy is 2 and a half and we’ve been home for almost a week with the new baby, it’s been multiple daily meltdowns, screaming, crying, not wanting to do anything we ask and everything is a battle with him. I’m feeling overwhelming guilt and keep thinking we’ve made a huge mistake and I can’t stop crying about it. Please can someone who’s been through this tell me it gets better 🙏🏼
