Hello, I’ve been booked in for an induction on Friday and they want to use the Rods and if that doesn’t work after 24 hours then they’ll try the hormone drip.
For those who’ve had induction, did you stay in hospital from start to baby being here?
How long after rods/drip did the ball start rolling?
Thank you 😊

I had my induction on Saturday , they popped my waters at 5:10pm I then waited 5 hours to see if anything would happen, it didn’t so at 10:10pm they started the hormone drip, I had like an hour where it was all fine I was chatting laughing etc (midwife stays in the room with you at all times when hormone drip is on and they turn it up as and when) and then boom it hit me like a train, I was having contractions back to back they were so intense. I had the hormone drip turned off and continued labouring myself I had my baby boy at 3:55am! I’m not sure if I’d ever do the hormone drip again it was honestly so fast how everything changed and I barely got a break from the contractions! I also teared really bad, a 3rd degree tear so ended in theatre! It was worth it though to have my baby here safe I just still can’t get over how it all happened 🤣xx

The hormone drip isn't very nice at all 😪
I know you're asking for timings but I wouldn't have it again. Don't want to scare you but it may help to read up on it and make a better informed decision on agreeing to it x
