I’m concerned my little man’s constipated… any advice welcome!

My little guy is 7 weeks old and is now only formula fed, due to such a rocky start. I don’t see a poo regularly and I can see he is desperately trying. It’s averaging every 3 days! I’ve been to the drs but they don’t seem concerned because they measure by consistency and not length of time. But it’s awful seeing him strain with no result. Anyone else having this?

We’ve had this but ours was every 5/6 days, drs told us it’s not concerning until 10 days! We swapped her milk from normal Kendamil to Kendamil comfort and she’s gone down to every 2 days. If you can see he’s in a lot of pain drs advise infacol but my little one was sick straight after so we try some gripe water on her dummy every so often.

try to give him one ready made bottle (ready to feed) and regular belly massages as well as bicycle kicks etc. the ready to feed bottle usually helps my neices and nephews, not tried it with my little boy yet xx

My first was the same. Think the longest we went was 5 or 6 days. It is normal (although bloody stressful for us) As long as hes feeding well and having lots of wet nappies - we always said we would call drs if it went longer than a week, which it never did.
We did warm baths, we use the shnuggle bath. Baby massage etc. Infacol and gripe water. We're also using colic drops this time round.
Also with our first we tried a few different formulas (combi fed) and the only one that worked for him was kendamil. Some of the others would bumg him up. It might be worth trying a different formula till you find one that works best. Good luck x

Both of mine have been only pooing every 2-4 days. It can be hard to see them so uncomfortable but only thing that seems to work for us is tummy massage & rocking knees/bicycle legs.
My friend is an osteo & did a little treatment on him which worked immediately though! So if he’s really bad could try a paediatric osteo/chiro

My December baby had normal poo but still really struggled to get it out for no reason and was super fussy and in discomfort/pain until he eventually went. We asked the GP to try lactulose and it was a life saver to finally have a happy baby. We still use it now and he enjoys having it as it’s a sweet syrup.

Upset

I am so upset that people reported my post asking where people posted their amazon wishlist after partners work hours have been cut and now it's been removed. I was asking as a mum to a 3 year old and 30 weeks pregnant. My wishlist was literally basic items my daughter needed and a few little bits to occupy her plus items for my baby's arrival.

I’m REALLY freaked out!! (1 year old)

My daughter has just stired and was crying (heard her on the baby monitor as always) my husband has just gone into her room to find her sat on the floor! I’m gobsmacked, she’s only just turned 1! Surely she can’t climb out of the cot yet, I’m so so spooked! (We have got a monitor on my bedside table but we didn’t check it as we’re so used to just going in there when we hear her)
Has anyone else had this with a 1 year old?!

Pull up pants

Hi! When do you start them wearing pull up pants instead of the taped nappies? We are struggling with leaked poos and baby is very active. We saw Pampers baby dry advert so im just thinking if its time to switch

TIA

Sleep deprivation

My almost 11 month old has only slept through the night twice in his whole life. I’m back to work and just so exhausted. I feel like I’ve tried absolutely everything😫 he wakes up so hysterical in the night and the only way to calm him down is to give him a bottle, I just can’t understand what’s triggering him? Is anyone else in a similar situation or has any advice at all? I’m really struggling.
