Got my scan tomorrow, not finding out the gender- any ideas of what to expect, how long it could take? Any questions I should ask etc? Thank you 💗

Mine took around 45 minutes. They check all of baby's anatomy from head to toes. If you don't want to know the gender they will probably tell you to keep your eyes closed at some points. All the best!

Can vary from 30 mins - an hour. Definitely tell them straight away that you don’t want to know the gender as they’ll tell you to look away while they’re checking their legs etc, we was starring up at the ceiling half of the time🤭
They might get you to do some wiggling to get baby in place or walking around and coming back
Or you may even need to come back at a later date because they couldn’t get all the measurements, it’s very common
I had some orange juice beforehand so baby was wriggly but they still couldn’t confirm if they had an abnormality or not so I had to come back the next day
They will go quiet a lot but don’t panic
Have a lovely scan🥰x

Have something to eat or drink. With my first he was all curled up asleep so I had to go have a tea and chocolate and a walk to get him to wake up. I didn’t notice if he was a boy or girl. I had to ask her at the end what it was. It does take a while a lot longer than before 30 mins +

Ours this week was on the longer side due to minimal movement to get everything the lady wanted around their spine. I usually drink half a can of coke beforehand, but forgot I hadn’t eaten yet due to early appointment, so definitely eat and drink before.
I ended up walking round the hospital to get baby to move eventually!
