Would love to hear some stories about your experience here? I've just moved back from Australia where I lived for 20 years, I'm not sure where to continue my care, Kendal or up here in Carlisle.
Would love to hear any recent experiences and thoughts on the maternity ward and aftercare.
Thank you in advance 💕✨💕

Fortunately my pregnancy was healthy with no complications and my midwife was great, sometimes I had to see another midwife due to staffing and AL but they were all lovely and supportive.
I gave birth at the Cumberland Infirmary, my birth was traumatic, my little girl was back to back, I was having 7 contractions every 10 mins at 4cm dilated, and she had pooped inside me so her heart rate was up and down and almost had an emergency c-section (had episiotomy with ventous instead). I had a doctor, lead midwife, my midwife and a student midwife in while I pushed my baby out and they were all amazing before and after! I felt so cared for with no complaints🥰 and would happily give birth there again 🤍

I had a planned C-section & my little boy did have some complications breathing. Midwives were supportive & kept us up to date with information.
We were in SCBU for 8 days & we were able to stay in the family suite. Lots of support from the nurses & midwives, they doted on our little one & showed us lots of things that we would've had to learn by ourselves had we gone home straight away.
