Hey ladies, how did you wean your baby off formula and how quickly do I need to do this? My baby just turned 1 year old. She's still on between 300 - 500mls of formula per day. We are trying to limit formula during the day but she's waking up hungry overnight. I feed her 3 main meals and I'm trying to bulk up the snacks as well. She refuses toddler formula, cows milk or any combo, so it's still infant formula. She's also been sick so we are hesitant to change too much right now. Any advice on this would be appreciated 🙏

How about mixing a bit of cow’s milk into her formula ?
Do you give her milk with meals? Maybe it can be introduced that way instead of a meal on its own

She is ok with wheet-bix made with cows milk, but we've been doing that for months. It doesn't solve the current problem

what i did with my son was taper slowly. he had 4oz of milk per bottle so i did 4oz formula and a splash of A2 milk. then after a week of doing that i did 3oz formula and 1oz A2 milk and then a week later 2oz formula and 2 oz A2 milk... and so on. helped get him used to the flavor as well as letting his stomach get used to it.

We did a straight swap at about 11.5 months and no issues. He had naturally self weaned to maybe 2 bottles by that point to maybe a touch easier but yeah, just upped dairy across other sources and his solids intake went up too so we were more considered about the balance of meals and making sure he had plenty of protein to get him through the night.
