Fetal Movements

Hey, I’ll be 34 weeks tomorrow with my first baby. Bubs is usually very busy and i’ve been feeling really strong movements frequently throughout the day everyday. Today, however, he has seemed really quiet, I have felt a few movements but not as strong or frequent as usual. I don’t want to waste anyone’s time but also don’t want to miss something if something is wrong… Has anyone else been having any similar experiences? 🤍

Hi at 34 weeks this happened to me!! My baby was moving but not as much as I was used to, I called the hospital and they asked me to come in just to get checked over! They were really reassuring and said never to feel like a nuisance and to always call!
When I got there I was on the monitor for maybe 20 mins, all was well and they sent me home. As soon as I got home baby decided to wake up and have a great party inside! Haha.

But going to the hospital really helped settled my anxiety and it helped me relax when I got home as I knew all was well.

Please just pop them a call and get checked out ❤️

Feel free to pop me a message if needed xx

I'm 32 weeks and have been having the same experience

I had this a few weeks ago and everything turned out to be fine, however I only knew for certain because I went to triage to double check. They’d always rather have you come in one too many times to check and feel reassured than not come in and something being wrong. At the end of the day no one knows your baby like you do, so for your peace of mind I would get little one checked out. xx

This was me literally two days ago (33 weeks). The new guidance is to go on the gut feeling of the mother, so if you're just not sure, even if movements are still there but something just doesn't feel right, just call your triage and talk them through it. They'll probably ask you to attend and hook you up to a monitor. The midwife was so lovely with me on Wednesday and baby was kicking up a storm within 20 mins. It really put my mind at ease though, and they'll never consider it you wasting their time. It's literally what they are there for. Hope you get some reassurance.

You would never be wasting their time, go get checked, reassure yourself xx

Just to echo the above, any change in movements (reduced, strength etc) is definitely always worth calling triage and getting checked. They would rather see you a hundred times and everything be okay ❤️ please give them a call - they will likely want you to go in so they can monitor baby x

It’s always best to get things checked out, even if its nothing to worry about (fingers crossed that is the case) triage will be more than happy to reassure and will advise you to always get checked if you feel anything has changed x

100% go in and go in tonight, everything is probably fine but not worth the risk of not going! They will probably put you to the monitor for his heart beat to check he is all okay!

You don’t wast anyone time if you have doubt get it checked

C-section fold over

I’ve found the holy grail. I’ve been dry brushing my skin and I’ve noticed it makes a crazy difference with my food over which I’ve had a terrible time trying to get rid of even with losing weight. If anyone is struggling with the same thing I would suggest it !!

Baby’s movments at 36 weeks

Hi Mums!🤰✨🩷

I'm 36 weeks pregnant and when my baby moves in my belly, I don't get big horse kicks like most other mothers do. I get very light movement, like if it's like turning on its side or something, they are soft but nothing to make me jump. Is that normal? Should I be worried for it to not be feeling stronger movement by now?

Baby boy is here 🩵

After being so nervous for an ECV, my boy decided he couldn't wait anyway and arrived on 25th May (the hottest day of the year 🥵) via emergency c-section. He's a tiny 6lb 7 ounces and arrived 12 days early 😅

My eldest is 2 in July and already the best big brother 😍🥹

Mucus Plug 24 weeks

I think my mucus plug has been coming away today and yesterday. Called midwife who said based on the description it likely is that and not to worry unless it have labour symptoms or bleeding. Has anyone else been in this position? It has got me a little worried to say the least.
