Baby’s movments at 36 weeks

Hi Mums!🤰✨🩷

I'm 36 weeks pregnant and when my baby moves in my belly, I don't get big horse kicks like most other mothers do. I get very light movement, like if it's like turning on its side or something, they are soft but nothing to make me jump. Is that normal? Should I be worried for it to not be feeling stronger movement by now?

You may need to check with your midwife about the direction of your placenta as that could play a role in not getting as much heavy kicks. If the placenta is at the front of your uterus it cushions the kicks so it’s not as dramatic as other mums would say, I experienced that too. Don’t be worried just check with the midwife and can ask for a scan so they confirm x

Thank you - I will next week when I go in for my appointment. As long as there is movement I’m happy but I can’t get over on how soft baby is with me 🙈

My second had much less dramatic movement than my first (which is funny because after being born, she's way wilder than her big sister lol) and both moved a lot less towards the end when they had less room. It's definitely worth bringing up with your OB/midwife for peace of mind if nothing else, but personally I wouldn't be worried as long as you're feeling movement ❤️

C section

Hi mums I had c section 10 days ago and was taking paracetemol and ibuprofen regularly
I stopped taking ibuprofen last night as was upsetting my tummy but noticed this morning how much pain I’m in without it.
Does it really do much for the pain? I was only taking paracetemol.
How long was you on pain killers after c section?

Induction

I’m currently 38 weeks today. I have a scan on Monday as baby has been measuring bigger but not too big. On Tuesday I have a consultant appointment where they will give me a sweep.

They have advised that they do not want me going past my due date due to babies size, GD and strep B.

However, I never had any of this with my first baby and I’m so nervous and scared. I really don’t want an induction. Has anyone ever been in this or a similar situation?

All I hear about inductions is negative, a lot of pain and most end up in a c-section.

Avoiding junk, do you feel like this too?

Is there anyone here who fights overconsumption and avoids buying junk?

Buying things is making me a bit stressed lately, just to think about all what I will have to clean up, declutter, donate. It feels overwhelming.
