Extra cushions/ pillows for the sofa to sit on so its easier to get up. A fan for next to the bed due to night sweats. Lots of water and sports drinks for energy. Meal prep.

Extremely high waisted underwear, and lots of painkillers xx

Lots of paracetamol and ibuprofen, a good fan too!
Height waisted comfy trousers so there’s no risk of them rubbing, and some good period pants (I got the always discreet)
Make sure you keep yourself hydrated, so a big bottle for water along with some lucazades or something similar! And snacks, can’t forget the snacks 😏🤣
Having something to keep all of these close to you like a little cart or something will help for the first few days to save you having to walk across the house to keep getting stuff. You can also keep the babies nappies and wipes and a spare outfit on there too to make it easy to reach x

High waisted comfy clothes
Slip on slippers
Plenty of fluids, I had a big bottle of vimto squash haha
Snacks easy to reach
Book to read
Long charger leads
More importantly rest as much as you can and stand up straight every now and then so your incision doesn’t fold over etc

Comfy pants, painkillers, I continued to wear my maternity jeans, and I wore a recovery belt afterwards which helped massively! https://mammabump.com/products/mamma-bump-postpartum-belly-band
All the snacks 🥨 drinking loads! As Emily said, keep everything within arms reach because I found it incredibly difficult to manoeuvre afterwards without help and didn't want to keep bothering my partner or kids 🫣

I'd really recommend seeing a pregnancy/pelvic health physio after your 6 or 8 weeks check to start abdominal & scar massage as soon as you can.
And doing deep core/360 breathing as soon as you can after the C-section

I would have been screwed without our highback arm chair. I couldn't get onto our sofa (once there omg the agony) and I 100% couldnt get off of it without help. Luckily we had an arm chair. I used the arms to push myself up slowly (still took 5 minutes but I could do it). I lived in that chair for 3 months 🤣 (our sofa was very low i will say that).
