C section

Hi mums I had c section 10 days ago and was taking paracetemol and ibuprofen regularly
I stopped taking ibuprofen last night as was upsetting my tummy but noticed this morning how much pain I’m in without it.
Does it really do much for the pain? I was only taking paracetemol.
How long was you on pain killers after c section?

I think it mostly helps with the swelling to be honest.
And everyone’s pain tolerance is different. I stopped taking all painkillers on day 3 and was fine but I know some people who had to take painkillers for weeks after.
How’s it healing? Does it look okay? X

I was on painkillers for around 3 weeks with mine but everyone is different x

I stopped taking them around 7 days pp, but I’m also taking them if I’m hurting (which isn’t to often) and I’m now 22 days pp. Take them as your body needs, you won’t heal properly if your body is stressed because you are in pain.

Like others have said, everyone's experience is different and everyone's pain threshold is different too. I was completely off pain meds by day 8 but know other have needed them for weeks x

hey girl hope you have a fast recovery, i was taking the medication every time i would feel uncomfortable or in pain x

I found ibuprofen did more for the pain than paracetamol, it’s an anti inflammatory.

I took painkillers for 2.5 weeks they enabled me to go about my normal life x

I got my GP to prescribe naproxen which is like a 12 hour ibuprofen! Made the world
Of difference honestly x

I second naproxen! Xx

I was only able to take Acetaminophen and pain was pretty bad first 3 weeks then it got better

I'm on day 15 post c section and definitely still feel the need for regular paracetemol and ibuprofen as I fluctuate between incision being a bit sore, or belly a bit bruised. I plan to keep going for another 3 or 4 days which will take me to almost 3 weeks of pain relief.

Feeling the bump has dropped at 33.5 weeks - advice or opinions please!

Hi all, I am pregnant with my first 🥰 33 weeks + 3 days. This morning when I’ve woken up I really feel like the bump has ‘dropped’ - the top of my tummy/bottom of my chest/ribs which have felt pretty and firm before are now quite squishy again as though the baby has moved right down. It feels quite a lot different and I have also been getting very frequent braxton hicks.

I’m concerned it’s still quite early for the bump to have dropped (googling says this usually means labour is 2-4 weeks!)

Just wondered what anyone’s take is on this or if anyone has previously had a similar experience?

Thank you so much!! X

Huge baby!

Is it just me or are these 2026 babies built differently? My 7 week old baby is outgrowing EVERYTHING. He's in 0-3 month clothing but I genuinely don't think I've got much more room in it... For comparison, here's my first born in a onesie at 4 months old Vs my 7 week old in the exact same onesie 🫣🤣 think I'm going to be reaching the 3-6 months out sooner rather than later 🤣
