my 9 month old is almost getting the hang of crawling but not quite there yet. any moms have any tips to help baby safely learn coordination and balance when crawling?

Put something that s/he likes out of reach... like a toy or something, put it like a foot in front of them, and then kind of like pull it towards you and have them crawl to the toy

Give baby as many opportunities to practice as you can! I spent a lot of time with my little one on the floor and I would put high value items just out of her reach. I also got on the floor to show her by crawling myself lol

Mine is also not crawling yet! She tries and has the ability but just not there yet. They all have their own pace

Lots of floor time to help them develop their muscles!! Also Roll a ball or use a toy that moves. Your LO will naturally want to chase after it. I started doing this when my son was 7 months… he’s 8.5 months now and crawling like crazy so fast from one side of the room to the other. Loves chasing after toys, our cat or his brother 😂

Best thing I did for pumping

When my son was born he was 6 weeks early and my supply was not in and I didn’t want to formula feed him. I got an amazing output after 5 days straight of pumping for what felt like hours and then when he left the NiCu and he came home my supply drooped rapidly, like over 150ml to under 60mls and this kid wanted to eat a lot so the stress didn’t help. I did my research and started drinking mother milk and Moringa tea every morning and let me tell you the difference after a few hours is scary good. The photo is after 13 mins of pumping on a machine that when I used it for 30 mins I got the smallest amount.

This might not work for everyone but it’s definitely something I personally recommend trying at least once if you can and your supply is low.

This is coming from some that did everything, coconut water, oats, hot showers, body armour sports drink, power pumping.

Anyone anxious birthing a whole human infront of their husband?

I don’t want him to see ANYTHING! What if I poop and he sees it? Or just the pure trauma from all the blood and obviously what your coochie looks like during birth.

Baby monitor stand

Looking for recommendations on a universal baby monitor over the cot stand. I have the vtech VM3254 for reference.

i know they say how much colostrum you collect before birth doesn't influence your milk supply after birth but today (my third time collecting it) I got 18 syringes and am worried I'll be an oversupplier and get infections because of it

Does anyone else have SEN child and feel out of place at groups?

Its not just the children that get targeted for being different I realise its the parents too unfortunately. Neither one being ok obviously. I went to a group (not today but was playing on my mind) the mum there was like oh your child's really big aint he are you sure your in the right group and I went yeah SHE is big for her age I guess and she responded with well if she falls on a little one she might hurt them n I said well yeah if theres a huge age difference maybe but i'm holding her and following her with the play so it will be fine. She said how old is she n I say oh like 20 months n she went thought so this group actually cuts off at 18 months and I said oh right I didn't realise but developmentally shes 11 to 12 months so I guess its still fitting for her... her response well not for the little ones.. how old is your child n she says 15 months n I said aww n shes actually quite tiny n she said well she was premature n I said her too... she said well I guess you'll have to look for another group that can take her size and age, I said I put her date of birth in and asked if it was for her age n they said yes and I explained it would be more developmentally fitting. She asks whats up with her n I said she has a physical condition and only just started walking n she said so even more risk being unstable on her feet. Like what do I do with that.. everyone was staring it was so awkward.. my child smiling oblivious and no-one spoke to me because of it so I guess they all felt the same. Is this normal experience for others?

When to cut down to 1 nap?

How do you know when your bub is ready to cut down to 1 nap?

Right now my almost 10m old naps from 12pm - 2pm then again around 4/5pm for 1 hour and a half

the past 2 nights she hasn’t slept well but I think that’s down to a regression or learning now to crawl? Who even knows
