Am I the only one with a 7 month old who is consistently waking through the nights? I feel like our standard is waking through the night and instead of regressions we get like the odd random 3-5 days of good sleeping before she stops sleeping again.

It’s soo normal to be waking in the night

Both my 2 year old and this baby wake consistently, my eldest woke way more though and still does once a night for a cuddle 😆 Not had a full nights sleep since around Dec 2023!

Hi, infant/toddler sleep coach here! The only true sleep regression is at 4 months old where there is a biological change to sleep. Any time after that sleep is usually disrupted by developmental progression, environmental factors or sleep habits. How is little one getting to sleep? Are they self settling or requiring a lot of assistance e.g rocking, shushing, falling asleep on you and then being transferred.
You could consider some gentle sleep training (you can find me on instagram @whisper.sleep.coach if you’d like some help with this) or equally you can choose to do nothing and ride it out - eventually your child will sleep (although you never know when this could be! And most who choose to ride it out find they won’t sleep through until age 2-3 years old)

Nope! Wakes frequently and doesn't like being transferred to crib so end up co sleeping but he still wakes 😅

I will add, night waking actually helps prevent SIDS. It’s biologically normal for babies to still be waking, us adults still wake a night but we’ve learnt how to connect sleep cycles so we don’t really remember. Sleep training isn’t recommended, the NHS even advise against it. Please be mindful who you’re getting sleep advise from x
