GD & Inductions at Leeds

Do they like to bring baby early if you have GD? On insulin for fasting levels, first baby, but otherwise all good and baby not measuring too big!

With my 1st i had GD and they wanted me induced at 38 weeks, that was in 2021 so not sure if changed

I think they just constantly monitor the size of the baby and even more so towards the end. A friend of ours carried to full term despite GD, but they were keen for her not to go beyond. I don't know how much of that was her advocating for herself because the baby wasn't worryingly big

C-section Trauma

I'm 37 weeks pregnant with my second and having a hard time deciding whether or not to do a scheduled C-section for this baby. My first is almost 4 years old and was an emergency C-section after 3 hours of pushing. The experience was extremely traumatic and I don't feel like I'm "over it".

I had an appointment today at the hospital and accidentally walked into the maternity floor and had a panic attack that has left me crying for hours. I don't want to be triggered like this after 4 years. Everyone I know who has had an emergency C-section is living their lives normally. I feel like I can't move through this no matter what I do. And now I feel like it's affecting my second child.

Looking for either advice or sympathy lol

Due date met and no baby.

I know due dates are an estimate but it is a little upsetting. I want to hold my baby now.

Any of you doing or done anything successful to naturally induce labor?

What would you pick?

So my husband is blue collar and has some big projects that have him being a bit out of town for work, like middle of nowhere, and it could take him 2.5 hours to get to the hospital.

With that he asked if I'm sure I don't want to be induced. My previous deliveries were not easy and it's why I never wanted more. But we risk the chance of him not being present if I don't. I'm torn because I really want him there but I hate the thought of being medicated again for delivery, even if it's just pitocin, it slowed down the rate of contractions for me. He is supportive of my decision

So what would you pick?
