My daughter is almost 2 and we do love reading but the books I’ve got are getting boring now and she knows them without looking lol
We’ve started reading more Pip and Posy and Lulu series. She looks a good peekaboo pop up book but I would love some more recommendations. I think she’s took young to sit through a Julia Donaldson book other than the loop Gruffalo one
Give me your recs! Ideally books that help with speech and development or have good lessons. She’s very chatty so any books that challenge vocabulary slightly would be good too!

the 10 little pirates, 10 little princesses etc series of books are so good. Colour monster is a great one. Snail and the whale. I’d also recommend some books about emotions

Also the big book of why, and fact books, atlas, safari books with real animas etc. you don’t have to read the words just point things out. They are super popular at the nursery I work at

It’s worth giving the Julia Donaldson books a go, my daughter has enjoyed them and not found them too long. We’ve read them to her since she was born, she 3.5 now.
The dinosaur that pooped books are good fun. Xx

Have you read the Acorn Wood books? They're Julia Donaldson but for younger kids with flaps.
My daughter is 2 years 3 months. She likes Mog books, tiger who came to tea, Monkey Puzzle, Room on the broom, all Peppa Pig books, she also loves potty training books (which can be useful too), once upon a bedtime by David Melling.
If you're in the UK, get a random 10 books for £10 at the Works.
And definitely recommend signing up to the library, my little one loves getting new books regularly, and as you say more fun to not read the same one over and over!!

The , That’s not my …. Books are fun to read as are ten minutes to bed
My boy loves stick man and books that are interactive

Defo agree with the Julia Donaldson tales from acorn wood series such as rabbits nap, badgers band, dormouse has a cold, postman bear etc. my son always loved those and still picks them occasionally now (he’s 4 in October)
Also love the normal JD books. We go to the library every couple of weeks and pick a load out so he’s always got new ones. He really likes the Peppa pig ones at the moment and Pip and Posy too x
