I hear pedestrians and hv don’t encourage jumperoo so for my second born I didn’t get one. My daughter was very delayed walking and had one so I’ve been very put off but now, I’m worried about my son because he’s just turned 8 months 25th May and he can’t hold his weight on his legs. He barely holds himself with me helping hold most of his weight for more than 5 seconds. My MIL says he should be holding himself a bit now. He’ll just jump a little like my support is the jumperoo and then lets his legs fall like he’s going into crawl position or sitting.
I’ve had concerns over other milestones but hv keeps saying he’s doing okay but google says he’s behind 🤦🏼♀️ I’ve been trying to tell myself he’s just being lazy and will do it in time but it’s hard when other babies around us is reaching milestones he isn’t. He’s a full term baby so there’s no adjusting his months until he’s 2 like I had to with his premmie sister

My baby is the same she won’t weight bare, she’s only just learnt to roll 1 way. The HV told me not to worry as they all go at their own pace. I use a door jumper and she loves it she just try’s to bounce all the time.
My little brother had bad reflux and was always in a Jumperoo or door bouncer. He’s now 12 years old and has no issues and he walked by 11 months

I don't think jumperoos (used in moderation) will affect walking as my first had one, crawling at 6m and walking at 10m. They need to get enough floor time to move freely

My daughter is 8 and a half months and is crawling, holding herself up to stand etc and I used a jumperoo with her so I wouldn't say it's delayed her in any way. I only used it in moderation and stuck to the rule my HV told me - to only use it 10 minutes every hour or so.
I wouldn't worry too much though, I've seen SO MANY posts on this page lately with people worrying that their little ones around this age are not rolling yet, not showing any signs of crawling etc🩷

I had one for my first and he absolutely loved it. Obv made sure he wasn't in it for too long. Was crawling at 8 months and walking before 1.
Haven't gotten one for #2 but that's more down to space. Got him a cuggle activity center instead but again don't have him in it for long periods of time

Only use it for 10 mins every now and then. My kiddo is still too short for hers. But she's already trying to walk and she's 8.5 months

I never see anything good about them, wouldn’t be inclined to use them for my kids, especially ones that don’t have a foot plate underneath. There’s too many professionals speaking about about the use of them x

My baby has just turned 9 months and will rarely bare weight I'm sure he will do it eventually when he's ready
