Hospital Bag

First time mum, 27 weeks along and starting to feel overwhelmed with all of the things I still need to do!

How crazy would it be to pack my hospital bag now? I'm hoping I won't need it for a good while yet obviously but I think it will just help with my mental load knowing its done. I basically have 90% of the stuff that needs to go in there and can just add toiletries etc at a more appropriate time.

To add in case people think I'm insane for wanting to do it so early lol - I have ADHD and its just constantly playing on my mind and not freeing up mindspace to concentrate on things I should actually be doing right now!

There’s absolutely no harm in packing it now if that’s what makes you feel comfortable. Just have a list to one side of the stuff you need to add closer to the time :)

By all means do it now if it’s going to help you. I’ve heard packing it with your partner helps so they know where stuff is. And if you want to be really organised- pack in packing cubes: 1 for birth, 1 for you post-birth, and 1 for baby clothes/bits. This makes it foolproof and if you need to double check or add anything you can just take out the relevant one x

Private vs first NHS scan

I’m pregnant with my first baby and I went to a private scan at 6 weeks 4 days and I went to my first NHS scan appointment and the difference in size in 5 weeks and 1 day is insane. I find it so crazy how much they grow in such a short space of time 🥹 I’m now 12+4 ❤️ I can’t wait for December to arrive

Do you think NHS kill patients?

The elderly who have no home support etc.. I'm currently with my mum at hospital and the care she receives with me being by her side is very minimal and careless. I can't imagine what the care of others looks like for those that can't advocate for themselves.

Growth Scan Referral

I went to triage for some spotting last night (also had some last week, hence the multiple plots on the chart). I’m now feeling really worried! I’ve been told I should have a growth scan tomorrow or Tuesday.

Sundown scaries 😱💀🙃

Im 6 months postpartum and I still am getting the sundown scaries I think anyways. Any one else still getting it? It’s like as soon as the sunsets never fails the anxiety hits this feeling of like the sky is gonna fall hits. And then I can’t sleep as well because my brain just starts to worry about a 1000 things. What do yall do to help with it? Can you take melatonin?

Triage

How many times have been gone in to triage for reduced movements? I’m 26+2 but baby has kicked since 18 weeks and started noticing a pattern from around 22 weeks!

What do yall think😭

My scans on the 22nd of June and I’m genuinely looking forward to it😩I’d love any gender tbh, I’m already a girl mum and I LOVE it, it’s been an amazing experience so I’d love another girl, but I’d also love to have a boy just to experience a new gender☺️I only have one ultrasound pic from when I was around 12 weeks and I wanna know if you guys can guess what gender they could be (ik the quality ain’t too great😭)
