Not a butch. It might be your partner isn't very helpful around the house when he's home and just contributes to the mess, so it's only natural it's easier when he's away

As Lizzie said, maybe it's because he's not very helpful when he's there? Because when my husband goes away for work I can't wait for him to come back.

Yeah I feel this too. It’s a mix between jealousy that he has been able to get away from everyday responsibilities, having to clear up after him when he is here and being able to parent your way when they are not.

I read somewhere that the reason we feel like this is because when they are away, there is no expectations of having any support but when they are here, we have expectations and they are not always met.
