Milk Bleb

Does anyone have any tips on healing a milk bleb, the throbbing is unreal 😩 I’m thinking of stopping breastfeeding soon aswell, will this clear up if I’m no longer producing milk?

Get a hakkah milk collector...fill it with hot Epson salt water...hold it to your nipple. Itll help. Then olive oil and air out the nipples!!

I know your pain 😭 this happened to me repeatedly! I found that not wearing a bra while at home (leaking and all) helped a ton. Making sure my tops were loose fitting and bras weren’t too tight when I did go out. I reduced how often I pumped and almost exclusively fed off the breast til it cleared up. Now, I’ve kept that routine and if I do pump, it’s 1-2 times a day using a hand pump with the proper size flange insert. Hope this helps 🙏🏽🫶🏽

Feed in the position targeting the root line of the bleb. Hot compress before feeding and Take paracetamol. That worked great on me.

Do you kiss your kids on the lips?

I was at playgroup today with my 1 and 2 year old chatting with another mum whilst they were running around and my eldest came up to me mid chat and put her hand on my shoulder and leaned in for a kiss then hugged me and ran off I obviously kissed her back. My youngest copies everything her big sister does and did the same.

The mum I was talking to asked me don’t I feel strange them kissing me on the lips that she won’t let her little boy. I never thought about it but now I’m thinking is this weird I do it? Should I stop them kissing me on the lips and stick to kissing on their forehead 🥴

Freaking out- flat spot on baby’s head.

So I took my little one to the doctor he’s 4 months old and the pediatrician sent a referral to a social worker for in house PT I’m concerned. I’m doing my best to reshape his head. I’m just upset do they think I’m neglecting my baby? This is only the 1st time my doctor told me they were concerned about his flat spot I have always asked in the past

Prams dirtying house

I’m sure there’s a very logical solve for this but week 3 baby brain has kicked in!

After coming back home from a wet walk with the pram, I then have to traipse mud through the house to roll it back in (it lives in our kitchen and has to roll through a small carpeted entrance hall.

Does anyone have a solve for this / way to stop their house getting filthy from pram wheels?

8 week jabs

8 week jabs are tomorrow...is calpol at the ready all i need to know? Is it in both legs? Will put baby in something easy to access and get ready dressed again.

Cribs

I’m indecisive as to whether I need to get a Moses basket for my newborn or if a crib is perfectly fine.
We already have a crib that fits perfectly in our room and our baby will in our room for at least 12 months.

We also have a rocking crib for downstairs too. So realistically is a crib safe for a newborn?

Feeds

My baby is 6 weeks and has been taking 5 ounce bottles every 3-4 hours since she was 2 weeks old but is starting to look for more. Is anyone else’s baby this age taking 5+ ounces? I’m scared to put her up incase it’s too much but she’s constantly hungry
