Freaking out- flat spot on baby’s head.

So I took my little one to the doctor he’s 4 months old and the pediatrician sent a referral to a social worker for in house PT I’m concerned. I’m doing my best to reshape his head. I’m just upset do they think I’m neglecting my baby? This is only the 1st time my doctor told me they were concerned about his flat spot I have always asked in the past

My son wore a helmet for five months due to his flat spot. Sometimes they fix themselves, and if it hasn’t after mentioning it a few times, it’s normal for PT. PT takes head measurements and tests for torticollis. Sometimes PT is all you need for a flat spot, but please don’t be discouraged if your child needs a helmet. It’s really for the best in the long run. They don’t think you’re neglecting the baby, sometimes it just happens. My sons PT was in an office, the social worker is probably just coming to check it’s all safe to do the work at home

This is my first baby too so I was very discouraged. But his flat spot went from Extreme to Moderate with the help of the helmet. And if you do end up needing one for your baby, there are companies that do helmets differently. Ours was 3D printed, had his name and a cat printed into it, and was dark green. You don’t have to get the weird clear ones that have been around forever

My son used a helmet for his flat spot.
After having to voice my concerns for it and his pediatrician doing nothing, I changed providers and they sent a referral after the first visit.
My son ended having to use 2 helmets since he outgrew the first one too quickly. Now his head is round and beautiful hehe
Don’t feel discouraged sometimes they need extra help and that’s ok

My first had a flat spot and needed a helmet. He also had torticollis. We never had a social worker - all of our appts were in office. We were referred to PT in office, and the PT taught us how to position him, hold him, and do other activities with him to help his torticollis and neck strength. Then he got a helmet to help with the reshaping of his head. You’re not neglecting your baby, but I do agree sending the social worker is weird.

Baby fall

I’m posting this anonymous because I don’t want to be prejudged. My little girl is 9 month old and has just fell off the sofa, I literally stood up and turned my back for a second to grab something, done it loads of times and never had an issue, it happened at between 7-7:30. She’s been sick a little down herself just before. Am I the worst mam in the world? Will she be alright having a nap? The mam guilt is something else right now. We’ve been up since 5:30 so she’s getting tired as well

If your LO is already sleeping or has fallen asleep at home and you need to go out do you wake them up or let them sleep.

When I say you need to go out I'm not talking a must like a GP's appt. I'm talking say to meet up with a friend.

My 3 weeks old son slept through the night

Good morning, I’m panicking because my son only sleeps in my arms throughout the day and in the past two days every time I tried to put him in his cot he would wake up after 5 minutes. So he had very poor sleep for the past 48 hours. Yesterday I was exhausted and he finally fell asleep. I woke up in the morning and he never woke up to be fed last night. This morning he woke up I changed him and I breastfed him as usual. He doesn’t seem stressed, but I feel really guilty. Did this happen to anyone? Should I be worried?

Night shifts/feeding

My partner is going back to work soon, we’ve been super lucky as he’s managed to have 4 weeks paternity leave but my goodness - how do you manage night shifts/feeding when your partner returns to work?

We are only just managing at the moment with two of us and dreading him returning to work and how I’ll manage considering he’ll need enough sleep to actually be able to do his job. Advice appreciated!!

Can I take my 9 month old on an uber without a car seat?

I may need to go to London (I live in Birmingham) for a few days, and will be taking public transport there. Once I get to London it’ll be quicker for me to order an uber. I won’t be taking a car seat though as I’ll already have a pushchair on me.

Baby carrier recommendations

Hello!

I would like to buy (another) baby carrier and need some recommendations, please.

I currently have a wrap baby carrier and my baby loves it. However, I would like to buy something that is easier and faster to put on.
My baby is 1 months old.

I would appreciate any recommendations from your own experience.

Thank you so much ♥️
