Baby fall

I’m posting this anonymous because I don’t want to be prejudged. My little girl is 9 month old and has just fell off the sofa, I literally stood up and turned my back for a second to grab something, done it loads of times and never had an issue, it happened at between 7-7:30. She’s been sick a little down herself just before. Am I the worst mam in the world? Will she be alright having a nap? The mam guilt is something else right now. We’ve been up since 5:30 so she’s getting tired as well

She was sick before or after? Is she showing any signs of disorientation or otherwise? The advice now is that they can sleep off any injuries / bumps as it helps, I’d personally probably contact nap or sit in the room with them to monitor. Ours went into the corner of a wooden cabinet the other day and has fallen off the bed before so zero judgement, these things happen x

Editing to add that we went to a&e because of the placement of our boy’s bump and what they did was stroke his hands and feet to make sure he was responding, checked his eyes were dilating / following light as normal, and that any physical bumps were hard underneath and not fluidy x

My little one fell of the bed once. It happens so no judgement and even though he was absolutely fine we stil took him to A&E to get him checked out. I would suggest you do the same just for peace of mind

My little one fell off our foot stall whilst I was changing her. I literally bent to the side of me to grab the wipes and she decided to roll for the first time in that moment! I cried so hard and my mum came over because I was hysterical. She was absolutely fine and is now a little danger child constantly bumping into things 🤦‍♀️
Keep an eye and if she changes at all take her to be seen! Try not to feel bad, things happen!x

Sleep training

Did you do it?
Do you recommend it?
What method did you use?

My 7mo has suddenly gone from going to bed easily to it taking up to 3 hours. She has always fed to sleep and transferred fine, but now she wakes up on every transfer or within 5 minutes of being in her cot. I'm pretty sure the only reason she goes down eventually is just from pure exhaustion.

I have tried dropping a nap, our routine is solid and has had no changes, she's not teething and her temp is fine etc

Sleep

Does anyone have any idea what they’re doing with sleep?!

I have a 9 week old, when does bedtime start to matter ( she currently goes to sleep for the night anywhere between 10-1am, not by our choice)

When will she start going earlier and when will the last nap of the day start to matter?

Also we are out and about a lot (mainly the MIL’s which is then a 30 min drive home) if we do that late at night and baby falls asleep will that effect her night time sleep??

So many questions 🙈does anyone have any good resources I can look at. ( I’m not a fan of sleep consultants and I don’t like tracking everything such as huckleberry)

It’s hit!

The four month sleep regression. You would have thought this being my fifth baby I’d be used to it, but my god, I forgot how exhausting and over stimulating it is! Anyone else in the trenches? I’ll be awake most of the night for the foreseeable 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

Did I make the right decision?

I left my marital home because I felt so unsupported by my partner and now Im feeling like it wasn’t the very best decision. Imagine trying to explain to your man how heavy postpartum feels and he tells you “but its not like you are the only woman going through that”. Am I being dramatic ?😭

Any early crawlers too?

My 4.5 months old have started crawling. Not the proper crawl but she gets on all fours and moving her legs without the coordination of her arms 🤣 she can still get from one end of her mat to another by commando crawling and rolling over.

When did your LO started to crawl?

What’s something that you either experienced personally or witnessed someone experience and makes you feel sore just at the thought of it?
