It seems to take longest to heal where they tie it off at one end. I think the stitch can sometimes take a while to dissolve

If youre breastfeeding you heal slower. But also some people just heal slower. I still had some scabbing in places at 16 weeks and I usually heal fast

Mine took months to heal with my second as part of it flipped over, but with both a had the black scab which looks like a hair for months down the line. Even now, over 1 year post, I still have areas that look like scabs (but they aren't).
Remember that you heal from the inside, out, so if you're healing on the outside now, then that's a good sign :)

Baby 2 - nhs appointments

I had an emergency c-section with baby 1. So im assuming now with baby 2 ill be high risk and consultant led. I know a previous c-section increases your risk of miscarriage so is there anyway to make sure my booking appointment is after my 12 week scan? I dont want to waste time on it for a non-viable pregnancy. Can I just ask for a date thats after my scan?

Im also assuming that im going to be told that I have to be consultant led, cannot labout at all at home and continous monitoring the whole time. I feel like with that there is almost no point in trying for a vbac because thats going to end with my failing again and another emergency c-section.

Pain relief at home

Does anyone have any ideas for at home pain relief? I’m having painful contractions about 3-5 mins apart, hospital sent me home. I’ve tried bath and paracetamol but it’s had no effect. I’m currently operating on 0 hours sleep as I can’t settle through the pain 😭

Hospital Bag

I’ve been watching loads of tiktoks of people packing their hospital bags and nearly everyone packs shampoo and conditioner

Who on earth is having a baby and then going for a hair wash?? Do i need to pack them? Did you wash your hair in hospital? Did you also take a hairdryer?
