Breastfeeding help!

Hey mommies I’m currently struggling on understanding breastfeeding what I mean by that is I’ve been told it’s supposed to be uncomfortable but not painful, but unfortunately it feels like pins and needles it was so bad I had to stop latching her and strictly pump. If any mommies pump yall know how annoying it can be to miss pumping sessions or cleaning the pumps. I’ve tried nipple cream, ice packs, latching tricks etc and she’s not tongue tied (confirmed by pediatrician).I feel like I’ve tried it all and nothing helps. Did anyone go through the same? If so what helped ?

For me it only hurt when the latch wasn't right. And it shouldn't feel uncomfortable either, maybe at first but u eventually don't notice it at all.
When you feed do you make sure your comfortable! Pillow behind ur back for extra support and are you using a nursing pillow or just a cushion/pillow to prop the baby up so ur not slouched, urs and babies positioning matters the first few months till u get the hang of it.
When I first started breastfeeding it took me a while to realise I needed to figure out how I can feed baby comfortably, it's not just about baby.

How old is your baby and how long is the pain for? I found it uncomfortable and a little painful for the first week or so but then it was fine. I always found the first 10-20 seconds pretty painful during that first week but then the rest of the feed was fine after that

Make sure baby is opening her mouth really wide and that you can’t see any of your nipple once she’s latched, a nice deep latch shouldn’t cause any discomfort. Also don’t let her latch herself make sure you’re supporting her to your nipple by holding the back of her neck and guiding her on (sorry if you already know this 😊) xx

Second hand baby stuff

I am curious what everyone thinks on second hand baby stuff like, car seat, push chair, cot etc. babies grow very fast, they grow out many things in just few months and kinda feel like it is a waste of money and not good for the environment. And also think as first time mum he/she is going to be my only child so I should get whatever is the best. On a dilemma 🤷‍♀️

How much do I actually need to buy?

First time mum, due in September and trying to not over spend. What is everyone’s opinions on how much you actually need to buy. I’m thinking along the lines of baby grows, how many will I actually need? And any other items which you’ve found you end up buying more of for no reason.
Thank you!!

Nap times

Anyone mastered nap times for their baby?
Mine constantly fights sleep and I am trying to work out a schedule/routine to make it a bit easier on all of us. Please share yours.

Sterilising

Are we still sterilising our bottles? I know they say to sterilise until they’re off formula because of the bacteria and all that but I put formula in his porridge and don’t sterilise the bowl and he’s fine? So surely I can stop? 🤞🏼
It’s becoming a real ball-ache of a chore that I dread doing after he’s gone to bed!

Hitting other kids

Hi all, my boy is 28 months and recently we noticed he's started hitting/pushing other children. He only seems to do this at his regular playgroup, whenever other kids get close to the toys he's playing with. My boy gets very possesive over toys.

He goes to nursery and we've not been told he does this there! He's generally very happy and is thriving.

When it happens, i tell him to be kind, we share our toys etc and repeat this.

Any good tips from mum's who are/have experienced this? TIA
