Routine Ideas?

Hello, my daughter is coming up two months and wanted to get routine ideas to start getting more solid sleep throughout the night..

She currently sleeps a lot and very well throughout the day (2-3 hour sleeps) but wanting to keep her more occupied and up during this time so she is not up 2+ hours when it is nighttime.

Last night she stayed awake for 4 hours and that to me indicates I need to start keeping her busy throughout the day 😭

So far today we did tummy time, practice rolling, and sensory development with these rattling toys.

What else can I do? I plan to take her on a walk when she’s up again too..

Please share what works for y’all?

We set a routine very early on for our daughter. Loads of tummy time, books, sensory play, and walks. She would wake up, eat, then nap immediately. She would then be awake for a solid 2 hours before her next nap and we’d just do a ton of play time and reading. Nap, food, loads of playtime, nap, food, etc. In total she napped about 6 hours during the day and slept about 10-12 at night at that age. I hope that helps.

Follow her cues and try to set routines around that. For example; if she's typically tired around 9 am, try to keep naps roughly around that time. Most babies have a bit of a peak in the evening (it gets more pronounced as they get older), so rather than trying to get her to bed at a specific time every night, work with her activity level. When she's active and awake, roll with it, her natural rhythm should follow, she'll tire out, and then putting her down is much easier.

Some babies are more tired in the morning, some in the afternoon. Some are earlier risers. Work with those rhythms to make it easier on yourself.

Keep nights fairly quiet and low-stimulation, as dark as possible. Daytime sunlight, activity, and playtime. Try to get some decent sunlight after the hour of the morning you would prefer to wake, but keep it dark before that. Circadian rhythms are set when sunlight first hits our eyes in the morning, and babies are no different.

5am day starts

My 7 week old seems to wake for the day from 5am unless i put him in the sling he will then go sleep.

Will this eventually change and settle into a normal time if maybe 6/7am?

I have a 2yr old as well so praying this will change because my days are becoming sooo long. My toddler happily sleeps till 7/8am usually 😴

Tooth extraction

I am having a wisdom tooth extraction next week, I will be sedated and the procedure will take about an hour and a half. I have a four month old and I’m exclusively breastfeeding. In the consent form it says I shouldn’t breastfeed for eight hours and I should pump and dump.

I was wondering if any of you had a tooth extraction with sedation and are breastfeeding?

Can you tell me if you had to wait with breastfeeding? If not was the baby okay?

A lot of places say that I don’t have to wait and I can breastfeed as soon as I feel well enough. I have pumped some milk and kept it in the freezer, but I’m not sure if it’s enough and I don’t know if the baby will take the bottle.

Reccos for breastfeeding tops / bras

Hi all, slowly getting my head round what works to breastfeed in public but would love some more help

Looking for supportive tops with in built bra support for slightly larger ladies (DD+) that you can wear without a breastfeeding bra and just yoik it up!

Also looking for a good strapless bra you can feed in by easily pulling down? And along with that any good feeding bras in general!

And any reccos for how to feed in a dress discretely! Thanks so much
