Baby sleep/napping

Our 5 week olds sleeping just weird. When she wakes up in the morning she will be awake for hours (7am-11isham) and then sleep for about 2 hours, feed, then go straight back to sleep for another 2 hours. Then once she’s up early evening, she literally stays awake for hours. As I’m writing this she’s been awake from about 4.15pm and it’s now 9.20pm and is wide awake. Our first slept a lot more than this and had the shorter wake windows you would expect.

Is anyone else experiencing something similar? It’s very strange

My LO is the same! He was doing 3-4 hour stretches between his feeds in the day, and 4hrs overnight (he is also 5 weeks old) but has suddenly started feeding every 2/2.5 hrs. He’s wide awake in the mornings from about 4:30-9, and then sometimes will sleep at 9ish but wake an hour later. I have no idea what it is but hopefully it gives you some comfort that you’re not the only one!!

My second is only 11 days old but every night from around 2am he stays awake until around 5/6am never known anything like it lol, throughout the day tho he pretty much sleeps all day he wakes for bottles every 3 hours! Xx

Both of my babies have been super awake newborns. For my first this translated to a super low sleep needs toddler and for my second it remains to be seen 😅I assume he’ll be the same though!

When is too early for my ex partner to have my daughter overnight

Me and my ex broke up three weeks ago and he’s already asking to have her overnight. She is 8 months formula fed and semi co-sleeping

Since birth she has been very much dependent on me and breast fed for the first 3 months
Any advice?

Ms. Rachel / Screentime

Moms, be honest has Ms. Rachel actually helped your baby?
Did you notice new words, signs, better communication, or anything else you could directly attribute to her? Or is she just a lifesaver when you need 20 minutes to get something done? 😂
I'd love to hear real experiences and how old your little one was when they started watching. 🤍

Hi Girls

When should I start putting my baby down to nap, atm i'm still contact napping every nap in the carrier because he either wakes as soon as I put him down or if he does stay asleep he only sleeps 30 mins or less, hes nearly 7 months, im actually completely fine contact napping but im feeling v bad about it as if im doing something wrong and I should be teaching him now 🤔

If your answer is keep contact napping then when long term should I stop? Hes going to Nursery at 9 months old

Hmm

Since giving birth me and my partner haven’t been very intimate and it’s starting to feel like a marriage of convenience at times. I’ve been complimented a lot of by other women. Don’t get me wrong I’m straight but women are beautiful and I’m starting to have second thoughts what it would be like to be intimate with another woman.

Am I too late ?

Hey ladies,

I’m nervous that I may have bit myself in the behind ! I’m 12 weeks and 5 days postpartum and I am trying relactate with pumping. I had a weird journey with latching and everything and after about 3-4 weeks of trying I ultimately gave up with latching. With pumping it was just so uncomfortable and painful at the time that I didn’t consistently do it. I was pumping max about 3-4 times a day spontaneously.

As stated above, Im 12+4 weeks postpartum and I am trying to build my supply or even make enough for her to have a few bottles per day/week. Any tips and tricks to building supply? I’m trying to get more calorie intake, also changed flanges so I now have my correct size and it is as comfortable as it should be to pump. I’ve been incorporating at least 2 power pump session a day ( 1 session is 60 minutes, the next is 40). I’m also trying to consistently pump more, yesterday I tracked 7 pumping sessions (which is way more than I’ve ever done in a day). I have the Eufy S1 pros, Hygeia Fit Pro, and the Lansinoh Signature Pro pumps. Lastly, I’ve been doing a MOTN pump. I am getting less than 1-2oz per pump.
