Vbac or tolac thoughts

I’m scheduled for a c section June 18th. I recently felt a change of heart mostly because I have c section trauma for both my babies, but also, what if my body CAN do it? The first was emergency c section for baby not tolerating pitocin. And second was elective so I was never not qualified for a more natural birth. I brought up possibly trying for a tolac if my body permits and one of the OB was not very positive about trying. She said tolac is more difficult, the other OB said that the recovery is worse than with a c section and looked at me crazy for even thinking about a vaginal birth. I wonder why they were not supportive of it.

I can attest from just having a successful VBAC June 5th that pain wise it is much better. Yes it hurts to sit, cough, and sneeze, but those all come with a c-section too. At least it doesn't hurt to laugh too 😅 but it's so much easier to move around, bend, and lift my daughter that I would never say it's harder to heal from. Yes my vagina hurts and it's painful to use the bathroom, but I 100% would choose this all over again than the pain of the section with my first. I was allowed a tolac because my section was due to my son being breech and developing preeclampsia, but they warned me heavily of risk of uterine rupture and didn't necessarily try to tell me not to, but educate me on the higher risks. Some more supportive than others. I'm so sorry they tried to deter you from trying. But it can be done and has been done by many women, and it's YOUR choice. I was worried of the risks but trusted my body that it could do it, and if you feel the same I say go for it!

You can definitely do it i had 2 vbac's one after my first daughter was a c section due to being breach..so I had my 2nd at home since my insurance wouldn't cover me doing vbac & then I had 3 more c sections & then my last was another vbac..they're so much easier on your body than the c sections I would definitely go for it if its something you really want..that's just my opinion though

Due date

Has anyone had their baby around the 37 week mark? If so, was everything ok with you and baby? Was baby still a healthy weight?

I’m asking because my due date is July 18th but everyone keeps saying I’ll go earlier than that. This is my second baby and I was just curious :)

Partner and baby moving

Just wondering if anyone else’s partner is like this.
Every time I say the baby is moving and want him to look or feel he’s so distant. He says he just doesn’t understand the fascination, as it’s not in him.

He’s been amazing in terms of how he sees his job as caring for me. Which he does, but he doesn’t seem as phased as I am about baby moving. 🤷🏼‍♀️
Am I reading into this too much? I’m almost 25 weeks.

Elective C Section

For those of you having elective C sections, how far in advance did you get your dates and how? Was it a phone call/text message or just an appointment on badger notes?

Also bonus if it’s the Somerset area!

Normal bleeding ?

Had C section 15th of May and stopped bleeding 2 weeks after but then it’s started again but it’s starting and stopping and was a dark brown until today and now it’s kinda went a pinky red colour I don’t remember this happening with my first section and I’ve been to the doctors twice now and they keep saying it’s fine but can’t tell me why it’s happening
